This is Baker our Groomer, Manager, mobile van maintenance man, salon handy man, jokester, you name it he does it.

He sacrificed his career in the medical field to allow me to pursue my dreams in the dog care industry. He earned certifications, licenses, and mentored under various groomers and became one of the best. His authoritative demeanor, strive for perfection, and pride in a well done service shows in his work. 🙏

His willingness to learn all required to help me run a successful business is so appreciated. I am so grateful for his ability to grow and become a really good groomer. He completes such quality, thorough, and clean grooms. We both could never expect the success and gifts discovered he had in the dog grooming realm.

He is such an asset as he is very sociable, a great listener, supporter, encourager, and teacher, to the team. Definitely like the salon Pops 👴🏼

Without him my business would be nothing. I can count on him for anything I ask. He is the most thoughtful person but keeps it real 💯 no fluff, that Nola raised, tell it like it is. My day one, ride or die.

He’s been by my side at such a young age with the responsibility of helping me care for pups. He was my back bone during my pregnancy in 2015 at the start of my dog sitting business. He is currently our lead kennel tech who enjoys working behind the scenes (away from front desk) and supporting the cleaning, entry walks, boarding feedings, and nightly walks for overnight guests.

He started working in the physical salon since highschool and has grown so much. Runs daily tasks without having to be asked and the courage to greet checkin clients.

I am so proud of this athlete and amazing student who juggles work and his studies with ease. Although the grooming industry isn’t his passion I know I can depend on him to be there to support anything I need or ask. 🙏👏

This young lady is our MVP unofficial staff member Kenz. She is talented, smart, witty, and so responsible at her young age. She pays attention to details and listens to all the business running in the background. She assist with cleaning the salon, walking pups, setting up events and ofcourse entertaining the dogs.

Growing up around dogs has developed her comfort around new pups and ability to adapt to their demeanor. She is truly a staff favorite as she will jump and help where ever you ask her. So thankful 😌 🙏 for this sweet pea 🫛

📣Curly Coats require more maintenance

Let us help you maintain their coats with proper baths and blow outs to minimize moisture in the coat which can lead to matting. We recommend 4-6 weeks for at least a bath.

Air drying curly coats at home is causing more harm. There are many effects to the health of the skin which can lead to matting, bacteria/mold build up, poor blood flow, irritation, redness, and more. This all gets agitated and visible once the hair is cut down or removed.

Keep your pups coat healthy and earn discounts by staying on scheduled. We will save what we can but de matting over 30 minutes can be painful and lead to more trouble so it is best to start over with a shave down.

Introducing Alyssa B 👏
One of our recent team mates but such a valuable player. With aspirations to become a groomer she has been our Shop Attendant kennel tech who cares for the pups during their boarding stays, walks every service pup at entry to get them comfortable and relieve themselves before their grooming, while keeping the salon clean and maintained. She held several hats during the day making sure the team and the salon smelled and looked good. She would even jump in to help bathe and dry dogs when we fall behind. No matter what task is asked of her, she does it with no question and with a smile 😊

Alyssa gave so much time and love to boarding pups on her free time. Clients and their furbabies became very familiar and confident in the care during their stays.

We appreciate all of her help, showing up to her shifts on time, no complaints, did her day to day and always asked the team if they needed anything further before leaving for the day. It’s hard to find good, honest, hard working people these days and so glad we have her on the team.

Seemed fitting to introduce myself on my Birthday 🎉

I’m Kaci, the owning manager of Pet Spa & Retreat and Petbox Mobile.

Born in Nola ⚜️raised on the west coast ☀️🌲 my upbringing shaped my strive to have more than just a career in engineering which ofcourse pays the bills but to enjoy day to day. That’s where dog care comes in. Starting with basic pet sitting for friends while they traveled, turned into a side hustle while on maternity leave in 2015. My passion for caring for pets led myself and my family to the grooming industry by taking over a local salon. We took the leap to fulfill my purpose while finding my peace.

I am so proud of growing this spa inspired salon to 9 amazing employees and 4 mobile vans. Entrepreneurship is not for the weak. 🏬🚐🚐🚐🚐

🦂In order to be a leader I had to realize and still learning that you have to be ok to be misunderstood, judged, and unliked, and keep leading and pushing through. There are many tough days but with God first and family behind me there’s been no turning back. As an engineer I have learned how to be efficient, organized, and smart with economic decisions to flip this small salon to its potential. Not everything works as I want, but I know how to make pivots when necessary. If the math not “mathing” I know to make adjustments and because of that we have been successful in this very tough industry.

Starting a business is hard but staying in the game and maintaining is harder. Kudos to myself and all the support around me, Sincerely The Dog Boss 🐕🐩🐕‍🦺

Introducing our spicy chameleon 🦎🌶️ She is not only beautiful on the outside but big hearted on the inside. Her lack of cares of external judgments makes her beauty shine even brighter. She is confident and so easy to build a friendship with. She is reliable, mature, strong yet so sweet, this makes her such an asset to the team. Every challenge she faces she picks herself back up and pull up those around her.

Not only is she a client fav due to her kindness and ability to share her expertise in dog health and grooming but she is willing to help anyone at anytime.

Majority of our small business success is due to her willingness to be flexible, versatile, and adaptable to any position placed in front of her. She can effortlessly handle front desk reception duties, bathing, grooming, back of house cleaning, tending to boarding pups, and also maintains a busy mobile grooming schedule.

We are so proud of her growth in grooming and such a pleasure to have around to talk and giggle with. We can easily have a conversation with this young lady and forget we are working lol. She knows how to have a good time even if it’s 0 to 120 🤣🏎️

Introducing the baby 👶of the family. Our little princess 👸 This young lady started with us in high school tending to our boarding pups. Taking care of walking, cleaning, and ensuring comfortable overnight stays for our pups. She advanced to receptionist and checking in and out our clients ensuring grooming instructions are gathered and vaccination records are verified. She became so knowledgeable in suggesting upgraded items to improve coat and nail conditions. She learned swiftly to do a full bath and maintenance which includes shaving potty areas and trimming around the paws. Now she is gaining confidence in face touch ups and further grooming.

💪 Any task put infront of her she has faced and mastered. She keeps the salon in line but also laughing. She has such a sense of humor but lady like professionalism (No smoke). She is far beyond her years and very matured for grooming to be her first job out of school. Her strength and confidence allows pups to trust her as she works towards perfection. Her talents and education in cosmetology truly produce quality work.

🤗We are so honored to have her on our team. Always a pleasure to work with and very little has to be told. She recognizes a problem and provides a solution before asking for help.

Introducing Sophie H- Our OG lead salon groomer and shop attendant. She is super sweet, talented, calm mannered, ability to handle any pups or tasks put in-front of her. So incredible, she gets in her own way. Small in stature but the largest heart and fight in her you couldn’t even fathom. We are so grateful to have someone like her on our team. Definitely a ying to our yang for maintaining a sense of calm and peace in the salon with the ability to manage some of the most difficult dogs. She has such patience and grace to deal with stressful and draining situations. She never says NO unless she absolutely has to. She works fast and efficiently and always willing to learn more and push herself everyday. We have witnessed such amazing growth and excited to see her continue this path in improving her skills in grooming ✂️💪😊🙏
