FYI: The next 4-6 weeks is mating season for coyotes. Please do not let your dogs out alone or leave your cats out overnight. The outcome can be tragic as they can & will attack/kill your pets. Just be aware so you can protect your pets. {Coyote breeding typically peaks in late February and early March, the gestation period averages 58 to 63 days. Male coyotes can become more aggressive during this time of year, THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT ALL IS THAT COYOTES CAN ALWAYS POSE A THREAT TO SMALL PETS / LIVESTOCK. That risk increases during mating season.

Breaks my heart I hope someone adopts then soon

The worst update I have had to give in my 7 years in rescue. Boss and Reeces were euthanized. Over 30
dogs came in between Monday and Tuesday and space ran out. After the owner would not agree to the assistance, the shelter director said they would have to go. 😭😭. I had no idea they were gone until late yesterday. This is what is so frustrating and heartbreaking for rescues. Please support your rescues by fostering, donating and sharing. Without that support, we cannot save dogs from kill shelters.

UPDATE: The shelter reached out to the owner and told him we would all being willing to help reunite him with his pets. He has moved to a place that does not accept pets and has no interest in moving again. I asked them to reach out again as they will most likely be euthanized because space ran out. It looks like he feels he cannot move. If anyone can come adopt them, please do. 😢

Boss and Reese’s were owner surrendered when the owner was not able to find an apartment that was affordable for all of them to live. The owner has had these babies since they were 8 weeks old. He has traveled with them all over the United States including Alaska. They are super sweet dogs. It’s heartbreaking that pet deposits/added monthly rent resulted in being surrendered to the shelter. 12 year old dogs sleep a lot and aren’t known to tear up things. They are great at the shelter which I’m glad but it tears me up. I know they think they are just “boarding” because their owner has always been with them. They wait patiently….😭
