Recently we have been dealing with some issues and confusion in regards to policies/procedures at VMC. Our policies are listed on our webpage and always available for review but we would like to highlight a few areas here as well.
APPOINTMENTS:
To allow ample time for all patients we operate by appointment only. We do reserve time each day for Emergency cases. Please know that we work diligently to stay on schedule and to see each patient on time. To ensure we stay on task we ask that you notify our office of any changes to your pet’s condition PRIOR to their appointment. For example, if your pet is coming in for a yearly exam and vaccines but seems to have developed an ear infection that you would like checked we ask that you call ahead to let us know so we can accommodate the additional time needed for your appointment.
** Please note if you are scheduled for a Nurse appointment (ie. Booster vaccines, nail trim, etc) you will not be speaking to Dr. Manning during these visits so it is EXTREMELY important you let us know of any concerns that would require Dr. Manning’s attention prior to your tech appointment. Failure to do so may result in needing to schedule another appointment to have your concerns addressed with Dr. Manning. **
LATE ARRIVALS:
** Please be advised if you arrive late to your scheduled appointment our staff may have to reschedule you.**
NO CALL/NO SHOW:
If you fail to show for your scheduled appointment without notice you will be required to leave a deposit to reschedule. We require 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations and at least 48 hours notice for surgery cancellations.
PHONE CALLS:
Dr. Manning is dedicated to providing one on one care to each patient during their appointment and to do so she is generally unable to accept telephone calls during appointment hours. Phone calls are usually reserved for going over test results etc. Our staff members are trained to answer your questions and/or to relay important information to Dr. Manning. We try to return calls as soon as possible but please note it may take 24 hours to receive a response.
