Hey everyone, I know we are giving everyone whiplash. So, a few things have been happening. First, we have been running deals on our regals for a little while now and didn't expect them to dwindle so quickly with the sheer amount we had. But they have dwindled significantly now. We do still have some left, and we will do local meetups. So, when we post the babies that are coming up, if you would like one and you’re local DM us. 😊
Secondly, I am in the process of switching from the regals I have been breeding to Otisus’s and possibly Apalachicola regals. I want to specialize in Otistsus’s, and they won't be ready for a while. A lot of things happened at the last minute, so that's why all the confusion. We are still around, just switching gears, and who knows maybe we will switch gears again. Life happens. We will remain as an online store. Traveling so far to the store hasn’t been ideal for gas, then unloading most of our Phidippus regius (regals), Having the store open and specializing in regals was giving me and my daughter very little time to take care of the spiders, create spider homes, accessories, and enjoy them, our families, and our pets. We take great pride in the care we show our spiders, and we don’t see any since in feeling rushed and frazzled and that care suffering.
I know this is a lot so bear with me! We do have some other changes! We want our group to just be a fun, no drama Jumping spider group! Where people are free to share and advertise their spiders, accessories, along with posting your babies, and asking questions. We have been so focused on the business aspect of things, and that's just not the energy we want. We really just want a fun and safe place for Jumping spider lovers to share and enjoy each other's spoods. From the beginning we noticed how much drama is associated with the jumper community, and we have always aimed to create a safe, relaxed place. If you have been with us from the beginning, you know this 😊
So, considering everything, and slowing down ourselves, and creating more of a relaxing atmosphere, we want everyone on the group to know you are welcome to use this group to self-promote as well! We don’t care how you come about your spiders, as long as they are loved, and cared for and you’re not tricking people into thinking they’re receiving a healthy young spider, and they receive an old or pregnant one. Basically, as long as you’re honest and decent this group is for you! We do not nit-pick, or gate keep.
Alright almost done! If you’ve stayed with me this far, thank you! Lol, If you are a seller, we do not put prices and we do not use words like $ell or $hip, so this group won’t be flagged we would prefer you to just tell people to DM you for information! 😊 We would also like to limit sellers' posts to once a week (whichever day you choose), rather than multiple times a day/ week. To give everyone space to be seen, and for those who would just like to share their babies and ask questions.
