Happy birthday babies!!! Today is one year, and we have had some highs and lows. Would love for everyone to post pictures, names (birth and forever please!) plus current height and weight if known. Ok, I’m still stressing, and May word this wrong, so ask if you need more info.
Penny is in surgery right now, she has bloated, and although on x-ray there was no sign of torsion (stomach flipping) when they stuck the tube down to let the gas out, they couldn’t get enough to release. She will be tacked during this surgery. This is the big fear with Danes. You can follow all the rules, and bloat is still a possibility. Tacking only prevents flipping, bloat is still a threat. We responded quickly and gave her gas x and rushed her in. I’m fairly sure she will survive, but prayers are of course welcome. I’ll update as soon as I hear from the vet.

PS, Amanda is with her, and I know they will fight with all they have to help her come home.

UPDATE: out of surgery and doing well!

Ok puppy owners, one of Penny’s pups has been confirmed to have bilateral hip dysphasia. Anyone else see any signs of issues? I would recommend having all pups checked at next apt, even if you’re not seeing any signs.

We hope Christmas finds you and your family well and in good spirits. And ready to kick 2020 out the door and get started on a fabulous’21.
For Christmas we’d like to ask all of our families to post updates with your pups. Picture(s), videos, with weights if possible (let’s see the Monster side of them!).
I don’t know if everyone can post pictures on the group or not (honestly can’t remember that far back).
If you can’t post, text or message Jeri or I and we’ll try to get everyone posted for tomorrow.

Heard this from Franz today:

6 month check up. Ziggy Marley weighs 83.1 pounds, and the big boy Ludo Hendrix weighs 109.2 pounds. Both on their hips looked fine to the doctor. I did pick up some medicine to help their bowels. They have intermittent diarrhea.

And a couple days ago about Artimus (Aka Hoggle) I heard he is 105 lbs and as sweet as ever!

Ok, good news about Scooter (AKA Marty). Vet checked him and believes it’s just the ugly teen stage of growth. No signs of pain or lameness.

Ok puppy owners, I just got a message that one of the pups might have hip issues. A trainer noticed, and they are getting him into the vet, but asked if I had heard of any of the others having any problems. I have not, but could you take any extra time and watch movements, and if you see any thing let us know. Always best to check it out.

Ok everyone with a pup- Mick and I put a deposit down on a female and when old enough, and if she passes all testing, we will breed again! This being said, I would like to know what we you liked about our raising, and what we can do better with the next litter. Asking now, so we can start working on a plan to improve! Thanks guys!

Ok, I haven’t posted on here in a bit- I don’t get to see my babies!- but I do get great updates, so here is the latest! Got weights on Ziggy (Sorsha) and Ludo at the end of last week, Ziggy weighed in at 46.5, and Ludo 60.4! My babies are big! Ludo has acne getting treated, but no other concerns were noted.

Today I got a great video and pictures of Deet training and doing great! I’ll put the video in the comments (if I can!!).

Ok! Puppies are getting big!!! Last Monday Deet and Sir weighed in and Deet was 34 lbs and Sir was 44.6. Yesterday I was informed Winston was 50 lbs. Friday Scooter (Marty) weighed in at 44. And now today Gunny weighed in at 51 lbs! My babies are getting so big. Thank you families for keeping me in the loop!

Marty left today. The first couple were really hard, and now the last 2 are killers! I know they are all in wonderful homes, but I love them so much! My life has been consumed with them really since April, and now only Sir is left for me to dote on. Tiffany better hurry and get him before I just can’t let go!!

How are the babies doing? Marty, Sir and Deet all were seen at Oregon Trail on Monday and got second set of shots plus dewormed. We weighed the pups ssturday and Marty was just shy of 30 lbs at 29:14, and Sir was 32.4. We also weighed Deet, but I can’t remember what she weighed!
