Did you know you can estimate a kittenโ€™s age just by looking at their teeth?

Baby teeth appear by 2โ€“3 weeks, start falling out around 14โ€“16 weeks, and are fully replaced by adult teeth by about 6 months.

We use this in Shelter Medicine to help determine if kittens are old enough for certain vaccines and now you can use this chart to impress your friends with your kitten-age guessing skills!

When was the last time you saw a porcupine in our area? Well, they are here and poor Gus found one recently and needed those nasty quills removed. His mom was very grateful and brought in these beautiful flowers and delicious cake. ๐Ÿ˜‹ We are enjoying both! Thank you, Nancy, and we hope Gus leaves the porcupines alone from now on. Please give him a hug from all of us! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿพ

We have been extremely busy with itchy pet appointments. The majority can be blamed on these pests - fleas! Dr. Webb found these with one comb swipe on an affected pet. Fleas not only make dogs and cats miserable, they can get into rugs, furniture and anywhere in the home causing bites and itching to family members. Please keep up to date with preventive flea treatments for pets and home. Call EVC to discuss the many options available. ๐Ÿ™€
