Back in 2014 I had this crazy idea. I sold a trail horse I had in order to buy my next show horse. it had been some time since I had even been in the show pen but every day it ate at me, like it was something I had to have. So with my old blue truck and a borrowed trailer I drove to Nashville TN and picked up a small palomino mare. I knew she was going to be something the minute we loaded her in that small two horse trailer, and she tryed to climb up the hay rack of that trailer. She was spicy, ranchy, and boy did she teach me a thing or two about breaking c**t (that is was not what I wanted to do for a living). But nevertheless I was the first person to climb on her back. She spent a few years with us. when I decided my heart was truly in the English world I sold her. She went on to do many amazing things including becoming a flag team horse. Fast forward 6 years, I had by the book the horse I had always wanted breeding, looks, english, but we were struggling. I was struggling, I had spent so long hating the one thing I used to love. So I went back to the drawing board and was going to turn my once hunt seat horse into a ranch pony and try something different to reconnect. But go had other plans, my beautiful blonde pony had come up for sale. And I moved every mountain possible to get her back. I have spent the last year reconnecting with both my girls, we started taking lessons, I started rekindling my love for reining and ranch riding, and over all enjoying my love for this sport. So without further a due, I present the 2023 Ranch walk/trot, ranch walk/trot/lope, ranch reining, Ranch DIVISION champion AC W***Y MY. oh and I brought home the Overall adult ranch high point rider award aswell. To say I am blessed is and understatement. we have hit so many ditches in this long road, and still have more to over come but God has truly blessed us over the 2023 season. and trust me we still have alot more to learn.
