😥Sadly we did not even hit 1/4 of our goal for the toy drive for the dogs here in the shelter.

😓Unfortunately, with the small amount of staff we have and the large amount of dogs in the shelter, most of the dogs are only able to get out of their kennel for about 20 minutes of the day with the help of volunteers.🐕🐩🦮🐕‍🦺

🧸🪅Having a toy can keep a dog occupied through out the day and is a healthy way to burn some energy off. It's also an awesome way to allow the dogs personality to shine through and draw attention from potential adopters. ✨️🐕

🎉🎉We can't do it with out everyone's help. Let's get these babies some toys! We are extending our raffle for the toy drive until the end of September. This means for every new dog toy you drop off, you get your name entered into the raffle.🎟

🚨 JAVA HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE JULY 14!!

We are still actively looking for Java! There is a reward for any information that leads to the safe return of Java. If you see him or if you have a tip on where he could be, please reach out and let us know!
Animal Control and our local police department have been both been notified and flyers have been taken to all local vet offices, some local businesses, and the local shelters. We appreciate our community's support in this matter and we immediately put certain policies in place to keep this from ever happening again!

On the afternoon of Thursday, July 14, a man walked to the shelter and specifically requested to meet with Java. He was instructed by our staff that he could take the dog for a short walk but would need to return to complete adoption paperwork. Nothing seemed odd or off about the gentleman or the situation. He was an older white male with white hair and a white beard. We truly hope that this is just a big misunderstanding!
Java is a larger senior pup. Short red/copper coat, white on his chest, greying on his muzzle. He's a tap dancing hippo for treats and the biggest cuddle bug.
