Finally posting here again! WOW! Life is crazy!
For those that do not know me on a personal basis- I'm a single mom to a very strong-willed toddler, I teach seven yoga classes at the Downtown YMCA and I have a digital marketing business 🫠 So sometimes I just have to let things go and come back to them as soon as I can. I haven't stopped grooming or boarding, though! I just haven't been able to keep up with social media.
But I'm back here to announce a new addition to my family! Do y'all remember Susu, an older Shih Tzu I have posted about that is difficult for her face grooming (it's ok if you don't remember lol)? Well she's here to stay for good now 🥰 She's an anxious baby but she's finally acclimated and living her best life with her new little fur brother, Data. WELCOME SUSU, WE LOVE YOU!

*Sidenote: Susu has eye issues and gets discharge built up VERY quickly. I haven't wanted to try to clean her face just yet since it really stresses her out, so please excuse the messy face. She will be cleaned up soon!*

It's that time of year folks! SHEDDING SEASON!

Dogs that have double coats (like Miss Bella here who is a Chow/Lab mix) usually go through a massive coat blow out when the weather starts to get cold and then again when it starts to warm up. They need a really thorough undercoat brush out and the force dryer from a professional groomer makes it last even longer.

My bathing area was coated 😏 in a layer of black fur after her bath and I kept finding even more hair for days after 😅 It's difficult to see but the 2nd photo is 2 months later and Bella's coat was nowhere near as thick as the first time, so much less mess than the 1st photo!

Also please don't judge me on the faces for the little Shih Tzu puppy and the old lady Shih Tzu with the mega short face! They are both insanely difficult for their faces so I do what I can, as safely as possible! 😬

I LOVE grooms! I don't know what it is about this breed that I'm obsessed with but I just can't get enough of them! This is Tinkerbell and Casey Jones' first grooms with me in my old bathroom shop and chilling in my living room haha! I took much better before and after pics during their second visit with me, so stay tuned lol.

Sooooo.... I know I missed 🤦‍♀️ How do y'all just know these random holidays? I guess I need to get a "random holiday calendar" to add to my 3 other calendars lol. Well here's my belated post of my OG baby, my baby boy, my Data Bear, my doo-doo-boo, my reason for still being alive today (literally), and Soul's best friend 🥰🥰🥰

When a groomer tells you to have your pup checked out by a vet then it's probably for a very good reason. Groomers look over your dog with a fine tooth comb (pun intended).

This is Romo. Chelsea was grooming him about 2 months ago and pulled a hair out of a spot in his toe. The tow seemed to be inflamed. She informed the pet parent. About a week later the pet parent called the shop and informed us the toe had doubled, almost tripled in size and they had the vet appointment set. After testing and biopsy it was found to be an extremely agressive, fast growing, cancer. With it being caught quickly they were able to remove the toe and the cancer! Romo is very happy now! Even tho he is missing a toe!

Moral of the story: Listen to your groomer! They may not know what is wrong but they know when something does not look right!!!

Ah, Beachin Pet Grooms' humble beginning 😅 I have upgraded to an actual room in my house and a hydraulic table so the process is much easier now! Pictures coming soon!

This cute doodle is Ferris. At 4 months old, he was quite nervous and the blow dryer was his sworn enemy (and still is). He had to come back the next day to finish his head and of course I forgot to take pictures 🤦🏽‍♀️ It's been 4 months since his first groom and while he has gotten better, I've only somewhat improved on getting before and after pictures 😆
