Beyond words. Why would they take their dogs to the pound? It is the responsibility of the breeder to care and properly place these poor babes. Tossing them to the pound because they are no longer needed…. Just sad. If you have space in your home and heart to adopt an older dog please reach out on these cuties. ❤️

ENS part 2:

ENS exercises should be done once daily from the third to the 16th days, this is believed to be a time of rapid neurological growth and development.

➡️There are five simples exercises done once a day for 3-5 seconds each position.

1. Tactile stimulation – Holding the pup in one hand, the handler gently stimulates (tickles) the pup between the toes on any one foot using a Q-tip.

2. Head held erect – Using both hands, the pup is held perpendicular to the ground, (straight up), so that its head is directly above its tail.

3. Head pointed down – Holding the pup firmly with both hands the head is reversed and is pointed downward so that it is pointing towards the ground.

4. Supine position – Hold the pup so that its back is resting in the palm of both hands with its muzzle facing the ceiling. The pup while on its back is allowed to sleep.

5. Thermal stimulation— Use a damp towel that has been cooled in a refrigerator for at least five minutes. Place the pup on the towel, feet down. Do not restrain it from moving.

ENS part 1:
What is ENS? 🤔
Early neurological stimulation, often referred to as “puppy enrichment.” This is something I make sure do with each litter, honestly it’s so easy to do while cuddling and cleaning these little nuggets.
ENS offers numerous benefits for canine development. During the first few weeks of life, exposing puppies to various sensory stimuli, like gentle touch, different surfaces, and novel sounds, can enhance their physical and mental growth. This stimulation fosters improved neurological function, increased resistance to stress, and better overall health.
Puppies subjected to such exercises tend to be more adaptable, less anxious, and exhibit improved problem-solving skills. Additionally, it can lay a strong foundation for training and socialization.
In essence, early neurological stimulation in dogs supports their well-being and paves the way for a confident, well-adjusted adult canine companion.❤️🐾
