If only people had hearts like dogs -

This sweet and handsome man has been living the kennel life FAR too long!

Mojo has been living on a concrete slab with chain link for walls for
7 months and 27 days - that's 35 weeks. Mojo has watched the sun set from his kennel now for 240 days and counting.

Mojo has watched 298 dogs get adopted since the day he came in - 298!!! Not a single one was him.

He is loved beyond measure, but there is only so much we can give him here. He needs a home, a bed, a last name... he deserves unconditional love from a family that sees the same sweet soul we see. Why is he still waiting with ZERO interest?

He is a VERY good boy and super sweet, not to mention how absolutely handsome he is! Mojo knows he needs to go on one of those diet things so he enjoys apples and bananas for snackies.

Please share for Mojo and help us help him find a rescue, foster or adopter so he doesn't have to spend any more sunsets in a shelter environment.

If only people had hearts like dogs - we would wear a smile on our faces no matter how hard we think our life is.

PLEASE MICRO CHIP YOUR DOG and then Register it. Write your phone number on their Collar with A Marker. Don't let them run loose. They depend on You to keep them safe.

Friendly Reminder:
Starting today, December 1st, 2023 Dog License are on sale until January 31st 2023 for $16.00 a piece. After January 31st, a penalty of $16.00 will be added for any unregistered dog, resulting in a $32.00 charge for a license. However, any dog found without a current registration, a citation will be issued in the amount of $112.00 for the first dog and an additional $40 for each unregistered dog that follows! You can either purchase your 2023 dog license on line through the Ashland County Auditor's Office or you can purchase them at the Ashland County Dog Shelter @ 1710 Garfield Avenue, Ashland, Ohio. In addition, you can also purchase your 2023 dog license at any of the following locations until January 31st, 2023. Participating locations include: Centerra Country Store, Jeromesville Market, Loudonville Public Library, Polk Country Store, Sullivan Market, Troy Road Market. Please be sure to attach your dog's license to their collars with a form of identification, as this is the best, sure way to return your dog to you, should it escape and run off. Furthermore, to clarify on some recently asked questions, if you purchase a 3 year, or a lifetime license for your dog ( only available through the Auditor's Office December through January) and your dog passes away, there is no refund and the license cannot be transferred to another dog! So, make sure to protect your fur-babies by getting them licensed, it's the law!

This beautiful Boy is looking for his forever

Smile if you are officially Heartworm free!!

Petey is now HW- and is waiting for his forever home. This cutie is lovable to the core, goofy and puppy-like in his playfulness, with a happy-go-lucky spirit.

P is always willing and able to cheer you up on a bad day. Mixed with a dash of 'bull in a china shop', as he doesnt always know his own size (thankfully he’s quite small at under 40 lbs!) or how to use his floppy feet.

This handsome little guy enjoys time spent with his human, taking walks, getting unlimited cuddles, and sharing toys (especially for tug of war). He’s a gentleman who sits for treats and an expert user of the bell system for potty breaks.

Petey has been living successfully with other dogs, though he does tend to hog the toys and can be vocal when the others are getting the attention he would prefer to be directed towards him. He can coexist peacefully though and can share a lap if necessary. We do not know how he is with cats.

His ideal home will have a securely fenced yard with people that will supervise his outside time. And lots of walks! He’s got a wandering eye and would fully take advantage of an opportunity to be free to sniff the whole world.

Petey is the perfect age and size for those looking for a mid size adult dog. He’s 5 years and ~38 lbs. He is fully vetted and ready to get the rest of his life started!
