⭐️⭐️Let's talk Potty Training⭐️⭐️

We've had 6 puppies going home in the next few weeks and we all know potty training can be hard, so let’s chat about it!🐾🐾

We try to set our puppies up for an easy transition by using the pine pellet litter box (we never use p*e pads because that only teaches puppies to eliminate on anything soft cloth like in the house). The potty stations gets them used to the yard feel, smell and makes the transition to outside very easy. I ALWAYS suggest that you purchase one, set it in an area that it's easy for the puppy to get too, then start transitioning it closer to the door, then start the transition to outside. Remember a puppy will have to potty more then your adult dogs, so frequent and consistent trips out is key to the process! If you are busy and can't keep full attention on them, then they should be placed in their kennel or other appropriate safe area, that's when accidents happen and the pattern of eliminating in the wrong area starts. If you catch them in the act correct the behavior, take them to their appropriate potty area, this area should be used everytime as their scent is there and that helps trigger for elimination!
