With the potential for ICE/SNOW this weekend, I thought I would post a couple reminders.
#1 Ice is dangerous for dogs too. They can slip and tear their ACL's or get other injuries just like us so be mindful when they charge out the doors to go play and be especially mindful of your senior pets.
#2 check the pads of their feet when they come back in from playing, the snow tends to clump up and can damage to their pads if its not dealt with. I dip mine in a cup of warm water and then dry when they come back in. I recommend doggy booties for long term outside play.
#3 Check your yard for anything hazardous that your dog could land on that the snow would be covering. Something they would normally avoid that now they can't see.
Most Dogs Love the Snow and its a pleasure watching them play. Enjoy!
