MEET OUR NURSE 🌟
Samantha Eberz, CVT
It all started for me at around six years old when I preformed my first surgery on my childhood dog, Jake, a Shepard mix. Using the term surgery very loosely in this case, but in my six year old mind I was an accomplished surgeon with a successful and positive outcome from my first procedure. See, Jake liked to get into things. He ate numerous Christmas tree ornaments, got into the trash, shared meals with my sisters and I. One night, I had noticed he had a macaroni wedged into the ridges on the roof of his mouth. I grabbed my surgical instrument, a fork, and slowly used one of the fork teeth to carefully remove the macaroni from the nook. Him being a laid back uncaring guy, allowed me to finish the procedure in seconds. Without fail, we finished up and he ate the macaroni with no complaints and went about his day. From that moment I had a feeling in my heart- I was meant to help animals.
With every home visit my goal is to make each patient feel comfortable while addressing the problems at hand or just making sure they feel at ease with any routine care. I happily provide many treats, belly rubs and lots of love to each individual pet. Pet parents should know that their pets wellbeing is of utmost importance to me. With each visit, phone call or any other form of contact- concerns will be addressed in a professional, timely fashion to earn what is needed to allow that pet parent to place full trust in me as their pets care giver.
I share my home with my wonderful husband, Matthew, and our daughter Alice Selene. My fur babies consist of Bindi Jane, a cattle dog mix, and two trouble making Siamese cats, Boo and Bo. I will occasionally welcome a foster dog into my home since we work closely with Humble Hounds Animal Rescue.
As a licensed veterinary nurse I have dedicated my education, my career and my life to helping animals in any way possible. I am a Harcum College Alumni that had completed rotations at both Matthew J Ryan small animal hospital and New Bolton Center large animal hospital at the University of Pennsylvania . I have a wide range of experience working in emergency rooms to anesthesia departments to attending appointments for routine care.
I very much look forward to meeting you and answering any questions you may have about your pet, our practice and what we services we have to offer. But feel at ease, I will be leaving my fork at home.
