Watch your pups paw when it’s hot out!

Dear Mom and Dad" (dogs point of view)
Let me stay home. It's not nice for me to walk and run next to you. But because I am a loyal dog, I often go beyond my limits. So I walk and run beside you, standing still if I have to. And feel my paws burn.
I'm looking at you for a moment, but you do not understand. Because in a little over 5 minutes we're at the cool puddle, right? But those little 5 minutes can be fatal to me. Because I sweat through my paws, and in this heat I just can not get rid of the sweat. My whole body is boiling, but I keep going .....
And then I end up on the tarmac. In the heat and in the sun. With my tongue out of my mouth and my eyes flashing in the sun. My paws are burning, my tongue is dry and my head is pounding in the heat that my body cannot get rid of ...
Instead, let me stay at home where I can enjoy the sun, with a large bowl of water, somewhere in the shade. And best of all like in a cool area with grass.

I think dog parks CAN be good but also can turn ugly very fast. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I think you need to know your dog and how well your dog is trained going into any dog park.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When dog parks are well managed and constructed well and you know your dog I think they can be beneficial for socialization and exercise. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You have to be smart about going into one and bringing appropriate dogs to one. If there is any aggressive dogs I would leash and go for a walk instead.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

*My dog Charley has. We did blood test to see what she is allergic to. There is too many to even list, let's just say food and environmental. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
* My girl has lost hair around her eyes , itching to the point of bleeding, ears inflamed. To say the least she was miserable. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
* This was suppose to be my foundation girl in my breeding program, she is my champion....What did we do?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
* First I researched and researched. We first put her on raw food. Then we give supplements for her gut and immune system. ( I like and ) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
* We wipe her paws every time she comes in from the outdoors ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

*** Have a freind stand on the other end of tunnel and you can do recall. call back and forth and reward every time your puppy or dog come to you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
**Only you.. throw a ball thru the tunnel have your puppy or dog run thru to get the ball and retrieve it back to you.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Most don't know what goes into getting the dogs ready before a show. We bathe, groom, nails, and of course train. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I've been showing 4 years now, dog showing paved the way for my next adventure and that is when I wanted to be a dog trainer. So 2 years ago I decided to go back to get my certification. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Training helps in and out of the ring!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love being in the ring with my dogs and even show some other dogs for people. It creates a bond with the dog that I love. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thats what made me also become a dog trainer, I want to help puppy and dog owners not just train their dog but create a bond with them through training. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

➡️ even 5-10 mins a day will keep your pup focused for the next training session
