Pet Groomer Job Description

This opening is for our shop located in Phoenix!

We are currently looking for a groomer who will:

•Groom, brush, clean the teeth, and trim the nails of our furry visitors
•Groom a wide variety of dogs
•Keep the grooming area clean and well-maintained.
•Not be afraid to be exposed to animals, and handle them in case of tantrums.
•Identify basic external parasites and know how to handle them appropriately.
•Provide their own equipment, ranging from, but not limited to; Hair clippers, nail clippers, blades, scissors, brushes, combs, and nail grinders.
•Give basic customer service and be able to explain the services available.

Qualifications
•PREFERABLY: Has at least one year of previous experience working with dogs and/or cats!
•Must be of legal age
•Must be legally allowed to work in USA.
•Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check
•Full-time availability during your assigned shift, from Mondays to Sundays
•Must have access to a wifi-enabled cell phone at all times and is reachable through calls, email, and voicemail.
•Must have reliable means of transportation to the Puff & Fluff location
•Must exhibit being trust, dependable, and reliable
•Must have good communication skills
•Must be willing to pay close attention to pets and follow directions from pet owners.
•Licenses or previous pet care experience is a plus!

We Are Hiring!

Puff and Fluff North PHX is looking for a part time bather.

Responsible to deliver bath and brushes of animals. This job is composed of variety of task. That are associated with pre-and-post grooming process. Some responsibilities include washing, brushing, and fluffing fur, trimming nails and cleaning inside ears of the pet. Position is responsible for the welfare of all live animals within the department.

Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to consistently perform all the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.

- Provide quick and courteous service to all pets
- Ensure standards are maintained in the department
- Interreact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interest.
- Professionally perform basic grooming services on animals as requested by customers and in accordance with company policy and procedure, ensuring the safety and well-being of each animal.
- Interest in animal welfare
- Move animals and merchandise up to 30 pounds
- Utilize grooming instruments including brushes, combs, and dryers.
- Service the animals carefully and securely without causing extreme discomfort or injury.
- Perform grooming services per customer instructions, ensuring the safety and well-being of animals.
- Adhere to all Policies and Procedures.
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment and work area
- Assists the groomers when necessary
- Required to work other locations as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.

Work Environment:

The majority of job duties are conducted indoors in the grooming shop. Position requires bending, kneeling, lighting (up to 30 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time. The work environment can be noisy and wet.

We are looking for someone who can:
-Maintain a neat schedule for all our bookings
-Check-in/out with the pet owners about their scheduled services
-Update Puff & Fluff client notes, and ensure that all groomers and bathers have all the necessary information
-Help handle pets
-Answer all phone calls or messages from the clients appropriately and on time
-Address any questions/concerns raised by the clients
-Is able to give basic customer service to our clients and be able to explain the services available.
-Keep front lobby neat and clean
