🎄🆘CHRISTMAS MIRACLE NEEDED🆘🎄

We only have 2 days left to save Opal…. I’m getting nervous💔

Opal needs a committed adopter or a rescue AND committed foster who will see her through her CCL surgery

We have raised about half the amount needed so far for her surgery. More funds are still needed🙏🏼

Diamond has 3 more days and does have foster interest but no rescue. Diamond needs either a rescue to pull her OR an adopter ASAP‼️

Opal is 5 years old and is absolutely stunning. She’s an extremely affectionate and loving girl. She loves to be close to you and hang out right by your side. She walks great on the leash and listens very well. Opal does prefer to be your one and only dog. Opal needs an adopter by EOD 12/27‼️

Opal’s Shelter notes: https://apps.pets.maricopa.gov/priority/DetailPage?RecordLocator=ODM1NTI3MjJB

Diamond is the cutest 3 year old pittie pup around! She is wiggly and affectionate and adores people. She loves to sit in your lap and rolling around for belly rubs! She’s a super sweet low riding mama and is a joy to be around. Diamond needs an adopter by EOD 12/28‼️

Diamond’s Shelter notes: https://apps.pets.maricopa.gov/priority/DetailPage?RecordLocator=ODM1MDIyODNB

We URGENTLY need to find homes for both of these amazing girls AND raise money in order to save their lives. Your support can make a life-saving difference! Share this post and consider donating to give Opal and Diamond the happy ending they deserve!❤️

💔There is not one, but TWO dogs at the shelter with CCL tears that are now at risk to lose their lives💔

Both of these very sweet girl need an adopter to save them. I am hoping to help fundraise to offset these very expensive medical costs to give them a chance at finding a home. Surgery is estimated to cost ~$4k each, totaling $8k. I know this is very steep, but these dogs are SO deserving and I want to give them a shot. They do not deserve to lose their lives over a very treatable injury.

🆘🆘Shirley will be euthanized tomorrow morning if she is not adopted by 6pm TODAY!!!🆘🆘

This sweet senior has was brought in by her finders on 11/12. She was found her Broadway and Watson Road in Buckeye. The finders stated that they kept her for 4 days. She lunged at birds, rabbits, a cat and killed a love bird. They kept her in the bedroom at night and in the backyard at night. She will likely need a home where she can be kept away from small animals.

Shirley finally got a break from her kennel on the 19th. She would solicit attention from the handler, but it this time, this poor gal was probably sick already. She was panting heavily and foam was forming on the sides of there mouth🥹

This poor gal has a deadline because persistent respiratory disease the she can't shake off. The shelter is cold, loud and stressful She needs out. Can you help a senior out?

The shelter requires that Shirley be placed in a home without any cats or small animals based on the intake notes.

Ace is still waiting on his Christmas miracle – he’s at-risk of e
euthanasia and needs an adopter by 6pm tomorrow (12/19)!

For seven years, Ace endured living year-around outside in Arizona - braving and surviving the scorching summers 🔥 and cold dessert nights 🧊...just to eventually be surrendered to the shelter. 💔 His “family” said he had become “aggressive” - when in reality he was bored, starved of attention and companionship. Ace arrived at the shelter unvaccinated, unaltered and slightly underweight.

Since being at the shelter, Ace has shown nothing but being a kind, gentle and affectionate soul 🥰. He will lean into pets and happily roll over for belly rubs. Ace has even done fantastic with children during meet & greets – he calmly accepted all the extra love and attention – and even didn’t mind when he was tail was accidently pulled. Ace has been non-reactive while passing other dogs and walks with excellent leash manners. After four long months in the shelter, Ace is beginning to show signs of kennel stress - only getting walked one per week. Despite the hardships faced, Ace still hasn’t given up on people - he still deeply craves love and companionship. We can’t give up on this sweet good boy! 🙏

📍 Meet Ace at MCACC East (2630 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Mesa, AZ 85201). Animal ID . Approx. 7 years old and 55 lbs.

🌈🐾 Rest Easy & Run Free Idris! I’m so sorry it ended this way. 💔

🚨 Idris Elba is now at-risk of euthanasia unless a committed FOSTER and NEW HOPE RESCUE is found by COB tomorrow, 12/12! ⏰

He was previously named “Mol” by shelter staff, but volunteers knew that name didn’t do him justice, so he was renamed to “Idris Elba.” Much of his background is unknown as he was found as stray, including the birth defect and/or old injury to his right eye , however, during time with volunteers he has proven to be a ✨shining star!✨ He appears potty trained, has good leash manners, is alert but non-reactive while passing other dogs, knows a few basic commands, responds to vocal cues 🎓and takes treats gently 🌭. Idris has a very affiliative and affectionate personality and will actively seek out pets and belly rubs. As a young and athletic pup, spending the past three months at the shelter can feel like a lifetime and Idris is beginning to struggle when leaving his kennel - the initial excitement of going on a walk (which happens only about every 5-7 days) has led to Idris mouthing/grabbing and thrashing on the leash 😣 - once outside, he soon settles and relaxes. Idris would thrive with a routine, structure and guidance.

🐾 Idris Elba is approx. 2 years old, 55 lbs and his right eye appears stable. Idris needs a patient foster that will give him the time and space to decompress and become himself again! 💌 If you can help with fostering or rescuing Idris, please message our page directly!

UPDATE- ADOPTED❤️

❗️BERTHA IS AT RISK TO BE EUTHANIZED TOMORROW❗️

“Colds” are a common occurrence this time of year. I’m sure some of you reading this right now are suffering from some sort sickness yourself. Colds are completely treatable with therapies and not any real reason for concern, except at the shelter.

7 year old, Bertha, is at risk to be euthanized for, you guessed it, having a cold. Some dogs struggle to recover from otherwise simple sicknesses at the shelter because of the environment. It’s wet, cold, crowded, which is a breeding ground for contagious illnesses.

Bertha is being treated with medication but is taking longer to recover. Therefore, she has been given a deadline of tomorrow 12/12 to be adopted or rescued or she will be euthanized. We just can’t let that happen to her 💔If you are interested in fostering or adopting Bertha, please message us for further information.

💔Al Green has a deadline of 12/14. He needs an adopter before then or he will be at risk💔

We are really really worried about Al Green. He is sick with a cold and losing a ton of weight. He has already lost 10lbs in his few weeks at the shelter and he will continue to wither away if we do not get him out of the shelter and into a home. Al is just a young pup at only 1 year old and the shelter is a very scary place him. He prefers to be carried to and from the play yard. Al was found as a stray about a month ago in Surprise, he had a brand new collar on but no one has come for him💔. Al would really benefit from a home where he can rest up and recover and help get back to a healthy weight.

Al Green is located at MCACC East in Mesa, AZ

💔FANNY IS AT RISK TO BE EUTHANIZED💔

For every hundred dogs, there is always ONE who really hits your heart hard and for me, that’s F***y.

F***y came to the shelter a short week ago but
was promptly placed on the priority portal. According to staff, she has been witnessed licking the walls, which is a sign of deterioration. F***y has a deadline of 12/11 to be adopter or rescued or she will be euthanized💔

Seeing F***y’s face on the portal was a complete shock. She’s the most mellow, mild-mannered dog and I never thought she’d be in this spot. If you are interested in adopting or fostering F***y please message our page for further information.

Sweet senior Indigo has spent a combined 300+ days at the shelter and now she’s set for euthanasia unless a committed FOSTER and NEW HOPE RESCUE is found by COB 12/10!

💔 Indigo was first adopted from MCACC in June 2020 and was found almost 3 years later living in an abandoned electrical cabinet (March 2023). After waiting 7 long months at the shelter, Indigo was adopted again in November 2023 – only to be returned about 2 weeks later due to “separation anxiety.” It’s no wonder that she may have some stress and anxiety being left alone – she’s been abandoned time and time again! 😔

Despite the unknown hardships that Indigo has faced, she still has a great love for people and desperately craves companionship 🫶! She’s an extremely affectionate girl who will happily lean into pets and roll over for belly rubs 💜. Indigo is a senior (6-7 years old) who still has the heart of a puppy - she loves playing fetch, splashing in the kiddie pool and going for walks! Indigo is potty trained, knows a few basic commands and is eager to learn/listen. 🐶 Note: The shelter believes that Indigo is dog selective and would benefit from a decompressing period followed by slow, proper introductions when meeting a new fur-friend.

Indigo is now in desperate need of stability and someone that won’t give up on her! If you are able to foster or rescue Indigo, please private message our page directly! MCACC East in Mesa, AZ 85201. Animal ID

12/5 Update: Scooter was rescued by Central AZ Animal Search and Rescue (CAASR). Pledges can be honored via Zelle: Mitzie Christian (520-921-9974/ [email protected]). If you would like to donate but can’t via Zelle, please message us directly.

💔 Scooter can’t catch a break and is now set for euthanasia ⏰ – unless a committed FOSTER and NEW HOPE RESCUE is found by COB 12/3. 🆘

Scooter has been in and out of the MCACC three times since March 2022 😔. Recently, he was adopted from the shelter and turned up as a stray about a month later - when the shelter contacted the adopter they said "they were moving and wouldn't be coming for him." That adopter was soon placed on the county's "DO NOT ADOPT" list as they had repeated this “story” with multiple other dogs over the past few years 🤦‍♀️. Prior to that Scooter was adopted by a different family for nine months only to be surrendered due to not getting along with the litter of 7 French Bulldog puppies (cough backyard breeding cough) in the home 👎. However, he did well living with a female adult Pitbull.

Despite bouncing around, Scooter is a handsome and intelligent pup 🤩 who already knows a bunch of basic commands including “sit” “down” “up” “shake” “stay” and “speak.” He is eager to learn and to please. Scooter has demonstrated excellent leash manners (especially in a harness) and frequently checks-in with his walking buddy. Scooter’s previous adopters shared that he is potty trained, crate trained and did well living with children between the ages of 3-5 years old 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦. Scooter has an affiliative and affectionate demeanor – he craves human companionship, and his favorite place is right by your side 🫶!

📢🆘 If you are able to foster or rescue Scooter, please private message our page directly! He is located MCACC East at 2630 W Rio Salado Pkwy, Mesa, AZ 85201 (not available for direct adoption from the shetler). Animal ID .

💔 Hail Mary Post: Admiral has received a brief extension and now needs an outlet (adoption or rescue) by 6:00 pm today (11/29) from MCACC West!

This 6-year-young pup has been waiting for over 65 days at the shelter for his best life to begin and now it may end in a kennel. Admiral was recently neutered, and it was discovered that he has coxofemoral luxation (“the dislocation of the hip joint on his right side”). Despite this injury, he’s still a happy-go-lucky guy who’s active and loves to play fetch and go on walks! Hip luxation can be treated with closed or open reduction but needs more care than the shelter can provide. Treatment has a very successful rating where many pups go on to live normal lives afterwards. Admiral is a charismatic and affectionate pup who would repay you with unconditional love, the waggest of tails and continuous enthusiasm to be around you.

Meet Admiral at MCACC West located at 2500 S 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009. Adoption Hours are 12:00 – 6:00 pm today. His ID # is ‬.

UPDATE 10AM 11/28 The vets feel her symptoms have resolved and her deadline has been removed for now.

Her eyes are pleading for help! PLEASE HELP STARR!

Starr needs to be adopted/rescued by 6pm 11/28.

She is just a puppy and has only been at the shelter for 30 days and she now has a deadline of 11/28 by 6pm for a cold that she hasn't gotten over with 2 rounds of antibiotics.

The shelter is stressful, drafty, loud. All things that make getting over a cold more difficult for a young, timid girl like Starr.

Starr doesn't really understand what walking on a leash is but she is A-OK with being carried. Once in the yard, she wants to sit near her person, maybe even IN their lap giving kisses. The shelter has her aged at 2 yrs old but she acts more like a puppy under 1 yr with pearly white teeth that hasn't been exposed to much of the world.

She needs a patient, quiet and safe place to get better, and then allow her true personality to shine. When she is in the yard and comfortable, she is a snuggler, smiles (2nd pic) and even gets the zoomies.

🐕 get colds just like you and me. But in the shelter environment it is 10 times harder for a dog to get over these colds. She should not have to loose her life over something that she can get better from. Will you come down and meet her? ⭐Her Id number is ⭐

Sweet, petite (44lbs) Starr is located at MCACC east in Mesa, Az

UPDATE 10AM 11/28 ADOPTED

Sirius only has through the end of TODAY (11/27) to find a home! He will be euthanized if a rescue or adopter doesn’t come for him. 😔 So please help share!

Sirius is only about four years old. He has not found living in the shelter to be fun— and his stress levels have earned him the wrong kind of attention. This boy has had so few opportunities to leave his kennel, and he’s struggling because of it.
His favorite activities have been playing tug, going for a brisk walk and enjoying a nice chew treat to keep him busy!

Sirius is on the smaller side— less than 50 pounds. He seems like he might love being an adventure 🏔️ buddy! He really needs the chance to decompress in a home environment so he can shine. 💖

Please meet him at the MCACC West shelter - 2500 S 27th Ave, Phoenix. Adoption Hours: 12-6 pm

🆘 Urgent Placement Needed! Kali is currently at a Phoenix boarding facility, and she is extremely stressed living 24/7 in a kennel – she is losing weight and the sparkle in her eyes are slowly starting to dimmer 💔. Kali has been bounced far too much in her four years of life – from MCACC, to a home with a family and then returned back to a boarding facility. If you can foster, the rescue would cover all related costs including food, medical care and additional resources.

“It's me Kalie, let me tell you about myself and I pray that you will come meet me – I promise that you won’t regret it 🥰! I had a family for a while, but due to no fault of my own, I'm back living in a kennel at a Phoenix boarding facility 💔. I am about 4 years old, spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. I love to play with toys 🎾 🧸, dip my paws in the kiddie pool 💦 and going on car rides 🚗 . I'm housetrained, know a few basic commands and take treats gently 🌭 . I have good leash manners and non-reactive while passing other dogs. I would love to cuddle up next to you and watch some Netflix after a nice walk! You can rub my belly all day and I promise to shower you with LOVE ❤️. My human friends tell me that I'm the biggest love bug and super friendly. I may do best with older kids and I would prefer to be the one and only pet in the home. I’m a pretty chill girl who’s looking for some love in a foster or better yet, a fur-ever home! 💭🏡"
