UPDATE 6/8: ADOPTED
🚨 Deadline June 11 – I Need an Adopter, Like, Yesterday
DREW – 1Y 1M – 28.2 lbs – Neutered Male
Oh hey. It’s me. Drew. A completely normal, definitely not stressed Queensland Heeler mix who's been quietly 🙄 (okay, not so quietly) losing my mind in this lovely little concrete vacation cell they call a kennel.
Have you ever tried living next to 47 barking roommates with zero privacy, no snacks on demand, and absolutely no say in your daily schedule? No? Then don’t judge my “alarm barking,” my or my “retreating to the back like I just saw a ghost.” I’m just trying to survive out here.
I’m actually awesome once you get me out of this noisy hellscape.
Here’s what I offer OUTSIDE the kennel:
🖤 Walks okay-ish on leash
🖤 Nervous explorer vibes – think “Shy Guy at the Party” energy
🖤 Will accept chin and neck pets once I’ve sniffed you for suspicious vibes
🖤 Whining softly when approached because I’m sensitive and emotionally complex
I’m not aggressive. I’m just… a little haunted by my shelter experience. I need someone patient. Someone calm. Maybe someone who talks to plants and drinks tea with honey and says things like “it’s okay, you’re safe now” in a soft voice. You get me?
Love,
Drew – Nervous, Handsome, and Ready to Heal 💔

I swear I’ll stop alarm barking eventually. Probably. Maybe. Okay definitely... in like, a week.
