Have you ever tried living next to 47 barking roommates with zero privacy, no snacks on demand, and absolutely no say in your daily schedule? No? Then don’t judge my “alarm barking,” my or my “retreating to the back like I just saw a ghost.” I’m just trying to survive out here.

I’m actually awesome once you get me out of this noisy hellscape.

Let’s be honest – I’m kind of famous at the shelter. Not for bad stuff, more like… main character energy. I mean, how else do you expect a young, smart, slightly dramatic pitty to act after being stuck in a kennel since April?! That’s like, 57 dog years. You try not yelling when people walk by holding treats and you haven’t had a decent Netflix binge or couch nap in months.

Once you get me out of my stress cave, I’m super affectionate. I know how to sit, take treats like a gentleman, and give the best "lean-in" snuggles. I just need a foster to get me the heck out of here before I turn into a permanent cartoon villain.

🌟 Foster Needed by 6/12!

Hi, I’m Star—and while I may not be the fluffiest pup at the shelter right now, I am one of the sweetest. I’m 6 years young, love squishy toys, cozy naps, and making new human friends—even if I get so excited I sometimes ti**le a little (hey, we all have our quirks, okay?).

My family had to surrender me after a year because they couldn’t afford vet care for my skin issues, and now I’m stuck in the shelter, where things are loud, scary, and definitely not hypoallergenic.

Despite everything, I’m still a happy, loving, lap dog at heart who just wants a human to cuddle up with. I lived indoors, free roamed, used potty pads, and never destroyed anything. This handsome 7yr old gentleman is in urgent need of a family.

is a black and brown German Shepherd who weighs 57lbs and has been nothing but cooperative and kind at the shelter. He walks well on leash with a moderate pull, tolerated all handling and vaccines, and allowed petting without hesitation. This boy clearly has had some love in his life—and he’s ready to give more.

📝 Medical note:
He has a soft, movable mass on the front of his neck (likely a sialocele, which is a harmless fluid-filled cyst related to a salivary gland). It’s not causing him discomfort now, but he will need a follow-up with a family veterinarian.

He deserves a soft place to land and a chance to be part of a family again.

😲 COLD BREW IS TERRIFIED AND LOSING HOPE

💔 Cold Brew was found alone near 30th Ave and Shaw Butte Dr in Phoenix. He barked. He nipped. He was scared. The finder kept him outside in a playpen for three days, where he barked constantly and never settled. He was confused, anxious, and clearly had no idea where he was or what had happened to him.

Then came the shelter.

Since the moment he arrived, Cold Brew has been utterly and completely broken. Staff cannot leash him without him lunging, snapping, or hiding in terror. He trembles uncontrollably. He growls not from aggression, but from sheer panic.

He urinates from fear.
He hides in corners, pressed against walls, refusing to move.
He shakes violently when approached.
He stares with wide eyes that no longer have hope in them.

Cold Brew has given up.

The only moments of calm he’s had are when he’s completely alone. Even then, he lies frozen. He won’t eat treats. He won’t move. He just waits for it all to be over.

He needs a foster, someone who understands trauma. Someone who will not expect anything from him, but who is willing to let him exist safely and quietly in a home where no one will hurt him or push him.

Cold Brew is not going to make it unless someone steps up.

He will die in the shelter terrified, untouched, and unseen.

I’m just 2 years old, a 56 lb black Chow Chow, and I don’t understand why I’m here. Everything is loud, unfamiliar, and terrifying. I lie frozen against the kennel wall. When people approach, I don’t bark. I don’t growl. I just… shut down.

When handlers come near, my body tenses, my eyes widen, and I try to disappear into the floor. Sometimes I cry softly when they touch me, not out of aggression—but out of fear. I don’t know if I’m safe here.

I’m Aurora. I’m only 2 years old, just 50lbs, and I’ve already given up hope.

In this loud, terrifying place they call a shelter, I hide in the corner and tremble. My body shakes. My eyes plead. But no one stays long enough to see the soul inside me that’s breaking.

Handlers try to help me, but I’m so scared that I shut down—I growl out of fear, I flinch when touched, I panic when leashed. I’ve defecated from stress. I’ve snapped at the leash in desperation. I’ve backed into corners shaking so hard it hurts. I’m not mean. I’m not bad. I’m just so, so scared.

I used to be different. Just a few weeks ago, I followed a kind handler around the yard. I even jumped on the bench next to them, asking for gentle pets. I wagged my tail—can you believe that? Me, smiling.

Hi, I’m Charlie—a 2yr old German Shepherd who’s been let down more than once, but I still believe there’s someone out there who won’t give up on me. I need a foster who can help me feel safe, seen, and finally understood. 💛
