Mike Ruscetti, owner of Superior Stucco, has been a longtime supporter of Arizona Small Dog Rescue since he was introduced to all of our lifesaving efforts we do through former board member, Lisa Scott. Mike had always been a dog lover, but he truly came to understand the importance of dogs in our lives while he was battling a life-threatening illness: cancer. Mike explained that while receiving his life saving chemo treatments, he would observe the comfort and compassion other cancer patients were receiving from therapy dogs making their way around the center with their handlers. In those moments, those life changing moments, he realized that he wanted to give dogs hope for life, just like they give hope to others at their times of need.
