Great explanation of the difference between just a rope horse and a NICE rope horse. Show them the job without them bracing and that horse can handle the speed and stay good for you. This is why getting one broke is money well spent.

CFour Leeroy put together four good runs to place 6th in the Intermediate Heading yesterday at the Buckeye Arizona Royal Crown event. ”Leeroy” has been in my barn since his first live steer. Big thanks to owner Debbie Carter for trusting in my program.

Jackpot was started and ridden by both Jim and Jimmie Paul. He has race horse speed with a huge stop. Lots of brains here guys. He's strong from the horn on the head side and can shut a run down on the heel side. Jackpot checks all the boxes and excels in every aspect of team roping as the perfect switch ender. As a kicker he's been patterned as a barrel horse by Carrie Jankee he can mortally fly around the cans . He would make an awesome breakaway horse. He stands 15.1 and will weigh 1200. MILESTONE!

Its been happening for a few years, the overall rise in roping horse prices. This year has seen some historic averages at all the sales across the country. We know the secondary team roping horse market, biggest in the country, is having an impact.

The Rancho Rio horse sale was a milestone, Trevor Brazile sold Smarty Dunny, for $250,000. Five horses over $100,000 and five over $50,000, all head horses. Overall the sale averaged $48,000.

So rhetorically we will ask the experts, is it still just supply and demand? Hey breeders, could 100,000 ropers actually be making an impacting the market? Could last years $80 Million in roping purses be fueling the market? We will let you answer that?
