Update: the 3 kittens have found a foster! Thank you so much to everyone helping us find them a home for the next few weeks!

🚨FOSTER NEEDED!🚨

We just had 3 kittens (only 3 weeks old) dropped off at our facility. After being abandoned by their mother.

These kittens would require being bottle for at least the next week. Each member of our staff is already fostering another litter of kittens and we need our communities help!

We are willing to help, educate, and give out supplies as needed. If you are interested in fostering bottle baby kittens or know anyone who is give us a call at (574) 267-3008 and ask to speak to Sydney! Or stop in directly at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, Indiana 46562.

🚨Kitten season isn’t over yet folks & we NEED your help 🚨

We are currently housing ❗ 151 felines❗️at the shelter, and 80% of that is kittens right now!! This requires LOTS of food!
We take any brand of wet and dry food!
👉🏼 For wet food, our kittens really enjoy Pate, but that is a little more expensive, so we understand if you want to donate regular wet food!
👉🏼 If you’d like an idea for dry kitten food, we like Purina One Plus kitten food!
👉🏼 For formula we prefer the KMR brand, either premixed or powdered!
👉🏼 ANYTHING HELPS!

The number, 151, does NOT include cats and kittens currently in foster homes, in our nursery nanny program or in trial adoptions. If we include all of these, which we still provide care for, we have a WHOPPING ❗️275 cats and kittens!!!❗️

With this in mind, we are always looking for foster homes to help us out! Our biggest need right now is bottle baby fosters as we are constantly taking in orphaned kittens that need help! We will provide food, litter, medication etc! We also have a highly knowledgeable and supportive staff that can help you through every step of the way!

Cats and kittens adoption fees are still ONLY $10 with an approved application. Nursery Nanny kittens require $150 spay/neuter deposit to ensure they come back to get fixed and get all needed vaccinations. As long as the adopter makes all their kitten vaccine appointments and their spay/neuter date with us, that deposit is REFUNDABLE!

Wiggle of the Week!

I wanted to start posting our Wiggle of the Week as presented by Chris Cage and the amazing team over at Paws & Claws!

Meet Bean! She is a 4 month old ball of energy! Thanks to some of our astounding donors she was able to get the necessary surgery she needed, but she doesn’t let her missing eye slow her down one bit. When she’s finally tired herself out she loves to cuddle up with all the kitties shes roomed with. If you are looking for a perfect playful kitten to cuddle with this fall come check out Bean! 🐱💕

Our newest litter is available for adoption! These 5 kittens have been in a loving foster home since they arrived here at the shelter! They are now 10 weeks old and ready to find their forever homes! Their mom, Eloise, is also here at the shelter.

Our kitten adoption fees are reduced to only $10 and there is a $150 spay/neuter deposit on top of that. As long as the adopter makes all their kitten vaccine appointments and their spay/neuter date with us, that deposit is REFUNDABLE!

Come meet them! Our adoptions are first come first serve as long as the application is approved.

Mama Eloise, who is only about a 9 months old, is ready for adoption as well! She came to us as a skinny stray momma and her babies were only DAYS old! She is scheduled to be spayed on as soon as possible🐾 Adult cats need homes too! And all of our adult cats are only $10 to help get more pets adopted!

🐱ADOPTION EVENT THIS SATURDAY!🐶

Come join us at Tractor Supply this Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm for special pet day adoption event!

Animal Welfare League will be there several adopted pets. Cats and kittens will be adoptable at a reduced adoption fee with an approved application.

UPDATE: Teddy and Lucky are reunited with Rupert and are home!!! Megan, you are truly the kindest soul ❤ Thank you for having the largest heart for our senior feline friends 😍

Don’t let this “empty” room fool you, there are actually two cats inside.

This is Lucky and Teddy! These two are a bonded pair of senior cats here at Animal Welfare League that are looking for a forever home. They have only been at the shelter for a month but let me tell you they are not a fan of all the loud noises. We believe they would do much better in a quieter loving home.

If you are unable to adopt at this time you can still come by the shelter to spend some time with these sweeties. They’d adore some love and pets 💕🐾

💕🙏Our kittens NEED your help!🙏💕

Currently our shelter has about 200 cats in our care and we estimate a whopping 80% are kittens not born in the shelter but dropped And abandoned in mobile home Parks And subdivisions! It takes a lot of food to keep all these little ones fed. On average we use one 16 pound bag of dry food PER DAY just for the kittens in our facility.
