I realized that my page is all ✨puppy content✨ but I have never taken the time to introduce us- the family behind all the madness!

We are the Swafford’s- Will, Kate, Wesley (2.5) and Cora (1.5).

We raise the sweetest Golden Retrievers in our home on our 100 acre farm in Tennessee. We take so much pride the puppies upbringing- providing love, handling, desensitization, vetting, and so much more- and even more pride in finding our puppies the perfect homes for them.

We go through an extensive selection process to ensure the puppies go into a home that is best suited for them. Our number 1 goal is for them to live their absolute best lives possible. Even then, sometimes we realize that things don’t work out and we will always take a puppy back to ensure that none of our babies end up unwanted in any way or in a shelter/rescue.

If you’ve previously filled out an application please reach out if you would like to remain on the waitlist for this litter. We consider all applicants in the order of which they were received, but place puppies in the best suited households.

We have new roommates! Sunny (Left) and Goose (right). Sunny is Bobbi’s full sister and Goose is her Cousin. We are so excited for them to join us on the farm, and hopefully expand our breeding program in the future. ☀️🦆

We have had an absolutely awful whirlwind of a day. Our sweet sweet sweet Bobbi was not acting herself this morning, we monitored all morning hoping maybe she’d snap out of it. Around 10am I went to check on her and she was laying in a pool of blood and steadily dripping more. She quickly was loaded up and brought to the nearest emergency vet.

Praying for the best, in my head I was preparing for the worst. Long story short, after many tests- they determined that she’d lost at least one puppy in utero, the sack ruptured, and infection had quickly started to set in. We were left with very few choices, all with seemingly unfavorable outcomes. Our best case scenario for the puppies was worst case scenario for Bobbi, and best case scenario for Bobbi unfortunately would lead to worst case scenario for puppies.

I had to make the toughest decision this morning ultimately to save my sweet Bobbi. She was whisked into an emergency C Section, followed by a spay of our sweet girl. Due to the amount of time in gestation the puppies weren’t viable (they wouldn’t have been for at least 10 more days). This emergency surgery saved our sweet Bobbi’s life- as the concern for sepsis setting in was very high.

We regretfully have to inform anyone we’ve told was on the waitlist that there no longer is any puppies, and won’t ever be any Bobbi pups. I am so sad, we just announced her pregnancy yesterday- followed by this hurricane of a day.

Thoughts and prayers are appreciated during this time, sweet Bobbi isn’t in the clear yet but her chances are much better now than they were this morning.

Waitlist time!!! Bobbi and Sammy are expecting a litter of AKC pups mid June. The colors should range from gold to deep red, with the absolute best temperaments and gentle disposition. Both bloodlines carry a stocky build, and block heads- with natural retrieve drive.

This litter will be all around 10/10 in both looks and personality, and we couldn’t be more excited.

We do have a list started but if you were interested, go to our website and fill out an application! We will reach out to all applicants in the order of which they were received.
