Crooked Creek's Dixie Rose x Double Ott's Waylon pups are 11wks old this Sunday! All solid red like their dad with some pretty little voices, too. Been on hyde and blood. They are love to tug and gnaw. Hopefully, the rain will let up this weekend and we can run a little trail for them. They'll be gettin their 2nd set of shots soon. 2 girls. 4 boys. Hubs put put on short trail with wind blowing pretty good today. All did well. Unfortunately, no pics because I was still giving tests to the kiddos individually. A storm is supposed to blow in tonight so, I'll let yall know when it dries enough for new pics and a video of a new practice run. Again, these are short trails.

This litter of pups are showing great potential in becoming awesome trackers. 2 females and 4 males are left. All are nose to ground. Yesterday, my husband drug a 70ft trail, which was a little too long for their 2nd time, but all stayed on it for most of trail before they back tracked. Stay tuned for more updates. Pups are 8wks old today. They've been eating dry feed since 4wks, but still get mama's milk. Due to my husband's work schedule and me getting COVID thang. Saturday was their 1st time on Hyde. Every one of them did amazing!!! I have video and pictures as well as individual pictures that took Friday evening. I will upload sometime today bc they're on my husband's phone. Also, my husband decided to keep a Lil female so that only leaves 2 females and 4 males. 1st round of shots have been given.

Due to my girls and I all 3 having covid today was the first day pups got a deer bone. As soon as video loads from my husband's phone I'll post. I was pleased. We'll add blood and Hyde as well. I'm still coughing alot and running out of air. Running blood trails are a little tough and this weekend the hub is off. Stay tuned

Today the pups tried their first bit of dry food when I fed Dixie. Boy, did they tried to tear it up. Also,all you could hear was growling and tantrums! They're growing like weeds

Dixie and pups are back in kennel. The pups are moving around more. Dixie is leaving them for longer periods. We will probably start wet food tomorrow.

Have yall met Dixie? She eats like a human, but get on to her once....she'll tear you n your entire house up. Let that shot be a no hit....whatever she is left in while the talks commense.....ITS GONE. She gets whatever she wants, but lort she got a ttude.

3wks. They've not been on the ground yet. It's wet and without shots I'm leery. They will be wormed this week and moved back outside onto concrete. We bought new kennels Dixie couldn't bite and push her way out of. All puppies are very healthy. They've been held and loved on by my babies. Several have even watched tv.lol Hyde training and blood will begin as soon as back in a kennel. We are hoping it dries out some so we can get them in the yard and woods. Our yard holds water....way too much for them. Soft feed with calf milk will begin as soon as teeth come in. Eye color is not permanent yet. Most are dark blue meaning theyll prolly change. They each have their own personalities. One male will get so mad at my husband he let's out a baby growl. A few are whiners. A couple think they need to eat 24/7. Several have white chests and most have tan feet. They definitely have Double Ott's Waylon's dominant genes. Individual pictures will be coming soon. Papers will sent off as soon as I have current pic of Waylon....he's camera shy. Well, more like he won't stop long enough to take a picture. Dixie has done very well this litter. She lost some of her normal weight, but slowly building back up. I bought her normal 22" collar and it was still a little too big. She's missing her scraps and acting out, but I wouldnt have her any other way. Waylon is eating enough for Dixie, the pups, and him....it makes me laugh. Until next time, enjoy the pics.

I've not forgotten yall. I sure was hoping some markings would appear on the pups to help telll them apart. Unfortunately, that didn't occur. Their eyes are open and they are snug as a bug in a rug in the doghouse. They turned 2wks Sunday. It won't be long before we let them smell Hyde.

Dixie is leaving them for longer at a time and took a quick ride yesterday. She's not liking the kennel life. The princess has escaped quite a few times. First, she learned to undo latch. Then, she learned to untie rope!

All pups are fat and happy. They aren't moving around too much yet. I'll post video when they do.

We have 4 males and 3 females ALL solid red. The smallest black solid didn't make it. I'll post pics when it's a bit warmer. Right now they are snuggled with mama, the heat lamp, and a blanket in their cozy dog house. Dixie came out today for the 1st time and you'd have thought we'd abandoned her.lol She ate all the leftovers in the fridges, checked on everybody twice, and ran around the yard before deciding she missed her babies! Pups are 6days old today.

Dixie had 7 solid reds and 1 solid black 1/8/23. We will take pictures and give genders this weekend. They are big pups!

Dixie was bred Nov. 7. She's already showing so, we should have pups in a little over a month. I'll keep yall updated. (Excuse our crowded dining room, we homeschool and I only could crop out 1 desk without it becoming blurry)

Babygirl got her 1st deer. Dixie was a little ticked when they came in, she smelled the deer, and she didn't get to go work.lol She took out front legs and straight across heart. (If I'm put in fb jail for this post ..yall just hang on for updates on the upcoming litter)

We should be having pups in the next couple of months if everything goes smoothly. Crooked Creek's Dixie Rose x Double ott's Waylon. They will imprinted, on Hyde and leg, and started on short blood trails.
