Whoever guessed 10-12 puppies for Louie was right! The vet and I can see 11 relatively clearly but we think there’s a sneaky little babe on the left hand side (the purple circle on the second pic) that could be a puppy. Little momma has about 5 days to go until she delivers! Absolutely can’t wait to meet these beautiful babies! This litter will be smaller sized standard poodles, and will be ready for their new families around October 28. Ok everyone… it’s that time again! How many puppies do you think Louie is going to have? I am getting her X-ray tomorrow. In her last litters she’s always had 11-12 puppies. Leave it to my smallest female to have the biggest litters. 😂🙄 I know her good buddy Bert had us all fooled when she only had had 7 puppies and we all thought she was having like 14 😂😂😂 So what do you think? Talk about a blast from the past! While picking up the adorable Brimsley at to take him to his new momma, I got to see Baela, who is a Bert daughter from my Christmas litter in 2022. 😍😍 She always remembers me whenever I see her, which makes my dog breeder heart so incredibly happy. ❤️ She looks just like my Alley! ❤️

These 6 gorgeous smaller standard poodle puppies are looking for their fur-ever families! They were born July 9 (their Mom’s birthday, hence the birthday theme!) and will be ready for their new families on September 1.

❤️ AKC registered.
❤️ Will mature to be around 30 pounds, about 20” tall at the shoulder. Great size for families with kids, elderly/retired, or people living in an apartment, RV, or mobile home.
❤️ Natural length tails.
❤️ Genetic health tested and cleared parents.
❤️ Well socialized and started on early training like potty training, car ride training, kid training, and loud noise training.
❤️ Puppies will have their first round of puppy vaccines, microchips, and first health clearance from the vet before they go to their new families.

The first week with these chubby babies has been a dream! 😍 Bert is the most wonderful momma and makes sure that they are well fed, warm, and clean at all times. They gain weight so easily, it’s crazy! I love their little rolls and their chubby bellies so much. 🥹 We started doing ENS and ESI (early neurological stimulation and early scent introduction) when they were 3 days old, to help build confidence and help them bond with humans easily. All of them love to be held and they all love getting their bellies and butts rubbed. 😍 I love this litter! ❤️🐩❤️🐩❤️

With all of the excitement of Bert’s puppies being here, Louie has just been chillin - for the most part. She wants to go take care of Bert’s puppies for her, and is bummed that she’s not allowed to see them. Not to worry, LuLu Bug, your puppies will be here soon enough! I can’t wait to meet them! We’ve got about 13 days to go. ❤️

Someday, you’re going to be big enough to jump up on the couch with your family and watch a movie. Someday, you’re going to be silly enough to cause some mischief and make your family laugh and shake their heads. Someday, you’ll be smart enough to learn new things and make your family proud. Someday, you’ll be fearless enough to swim in a lake, or go hiking, or go camping, or maybe even rescue a kid from a scary situation. Someday you’ll be ready to become a therapy or service dog and change your human’s life for good. Someday, you’ll be ready for all of that. But today you fit in my hands, and even though you’re tiny, I know you have a mighty heart. ❤️

Please help me welcome Bert & Dodger’s “Mighty Warriors” litter, who were born today, August 15, 2024. ❤️🐩❤️ When I was deciding what theme to go with for this litter, I knew I wanted to make it extra special, for two reasons: The first reason is that Bert had a freak accident while she was pregnant with these puppies, resulting in having her toe amputated. I was so worried that the puppies wouldn’t survive because of the sedation, pain meds, etc. that Bert had to go through. But she proved she is a fighter. And I know her puppies will be too. ❤️ The second reason is that even though Bert’s puppies weren’t supposed to be due until August 18, I just had this sneaky feeling that she would deliver them on August 15. 9 years ago today, my dad passed away. As a life-long lover of all sorts of history, particularly the stories of fearless warriors who led their peers into battle and came out victorious, I can think of no better way to honor both Bert’s victorious spirit, as well as my Dad’s fighting spirit that he had for life. ❤️ Even though some of the names I came up with aren’t exactly rooted in actual history 😂, I know my dad would have smiled and rolled his eyes, but he would have loved it. ❤️🤷🏽‍♀️😂

Bert got a bath, blow dry, and hair cut today to get ready for her babies to be born. She’s very mad about it and is refusing to look at me. 🙄 Poodles are never short on drama. 🐩💅🏼👸🏼👑❤️

Welp…. Bert is just a big fat LIAR!!! 😂😂😂 She had me convinced she was going to have 13-14 puppies because her belly is bigger than I have ever seen it before. 😂😂😂 Turns out this momma is just really good at eating because she’s only having 6-7 absolutely HUGE puppies 😂😂😂 I feel bamboozled. Given everything that she’s gone through in this pregnancy I wasn’t sure if she’d lose the litter or not so it’s a miracle she’s got any at all… I’m just shocked and can’t stop laughing. Little momma has pulled one over on me, that’s for sure. I was so proud of her for being such a good eater…. 😂😂😂 Well, at her babies are gonna be strong and healthy, so that’s all that matters! After they are born and I see how many of each gender I’m working with I will reach out to my deposit holders to see where we’re at. Louie is due in about 3 weeks, and Alley is about to get bred (and maybe also Rosie). So, there will still be plenty of puppies to go around. ❤️ Life throws you curve balls sometimes and you gotta just keep on swinging! Gonna spend the rest of the day laughing and shaking my head at how ridiculous she is. 😂😂

Bert is a champion. Rock star. The best of the best. Absolutely top tier. My heart dog. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Lugging around that gigantic belly, and she just sleeps, eats, and cuddles all day. Never complains. Never gets fed up with the other dogs antics. She just minds her business, which is making sure she rests and eats plenty. I know she’s exhausted and very ready for this pregnancy to be over with. I can’t wait to meet the babies. 7 days, maybe less, and counting! ❤️

This meeting of the Chub Club is in session. 😂 Bert and Louie are both pregnant and doing what pregnant poodles do best - eating everything in sight and sleeping in impossible positions. 😂 Like seriously how on earth is Bert comfortable like that!? It hurts my neck just to look at her. 😂

My friend Amanda at Cajun Girl Kennels has got some of the sweetest baby poodle pups! 😍😍 Cleo and Dodge sure did some great work making these beautiful . They were born June 28, and several of them are still waiting for their new families to claim them! They will be ready for their new families on August 23.

Louie still has a month to go until she has her puppies… and that baby bump is already enormous. 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳 between her and Bert I am pretty sure I’m about to have 20 puppies on my hands, maybe more. 😂 Please send wine. 🍷🍷(And please ignore Louie’s super short haircut, it’s a million degrees outside here in NC and your girl gets HOT.
