Meet Dr. Jennifer Broers! She grew up in Gladewater and has always had a passion for animals since a very early age. She is a graduate of St. Matthew’s University, School of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing for 10 years. She is devoted to helping pets in every way she can. She likes to give back to the community with an annual low-cost Rabies clinic sponsoring the local 4H and fundraising for local animal rescues.

In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, traveling, and relaxing with friends and family. One of her current hobbies is learning how to rope calves.

Meet Chaney

Chaney moved to the area in April 2023 from Cincinnati Ohio area with her husband Andrew. She’s been married since June 2021. Before joining the team at Piney Woods in April 2023, she worked at Erlanger Pet Resort and day spa and chick-fil-a in Northern Kentucky. Chaney recently passed her CVA level 1 test. In her free time, you can find her watching movies, reading, playing COD zombies with her husband, or learning guitar.

Meet Hunter Gann.

Hunter grew up in Mount Pleasant Texas, he has over 4yrs experience in the Veterinarian field. Hunter has successfully completed Level III of the Certified Veterinary Assistant Program. Hunter likes working with large animals as well as small and we consider him a jack of all trades. Hunter enjoys anything outdoors, hunting and fishing and water sports. He has the biggest heart and thinks Tacos are life and art is an expression. He has a beautiful 6 yr. old daughter who is his world.

Meet Melissa,

Melissa moved to the area 2 years ago from Cincinnati Ohio area with her husband. She has 3 kids, 1 puppy (she rescued) , I grand baby, 4 grand dogs, and 3 grand cats.
Before joining the team at Piney Woods Animal Clinic as one of our receptionist in May 2023, she worked as a Realtor. In her free time, you can find her at Bob Sandlin Lake having fun with family and friends.

Meet Sabrina!
Sabrina resides in the community of Simpsonville, with her Husband Matt and her pets which are 3 horses, a donkey, 10 calves and a border collie named AJ. Sabrina has been working at the clinic as Clinic Manager since August of 2022. Sabrina came to us with a medical background as a hospice and home health marketer for 15 yrs. and in medical sales for 10yrs. In her free time, she enjoys watching her grandchildren play sports and compete in Horse and cheerleading events, loves to travel, read, cook and go to the beach.

In her free time, she enjoys going to church, the lake and spending time with her family.

Jenny resides in New Boston, Texas with her husband Mark and her two pets that she adores, Duke and Duncan, where they are living the Farm Life. Jenny has been working at Piney Woods since June 2023 as one of our receptionists, when she changed careers because of her love for animals. In her free time away from the clinic she enjoys spending quality time with her 4 grandkids.

Meet Virgle.
Virgle grew up in Paris, Texas and moved to Pittsburg after he got married in 2022. He has worked in the Veterinary field for almost 3 years now. In his free time, he listens to music and loves to dance, he is very active in his church’s youth ministry. His favorite color is blue, and his favorite things are shoes, cars, and legos. He likes meeting people and having fun. Virgle is one of our techs and is currently working on his level I CVA certification.

Blake was born and raised in Colorado. She moved to Texas in 2017. She started working at Piney Woods in 2021 as a receptionist and quickly moved up to being a tech and is now a Level I CVA working on becoming a level III. She has 3 dogs, Chance Stinky and MJ, and a cat that would call himself a dog if you asked. In Blakes free time away from clinic she enjoys spending time with her fur babies, and family.

Meet Ashley!

Ashley grew up here in East Texas. She has been in the veterinary field since 2014. She is a certified veterinary assistant level 3. She is the lead veterinary technician and the chaos coordinator. She has been with Piney Woods since before the clinic even opened. She has 3 dogs a chihuahua, a boxer, a lab and 2 cats.
In her free time away from the clinic she enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters, reading books and being outdoors.
