It is with great sadness that I write that Calvin passed the week of Christmas. I always knew it would be hard when he left, but was not prepared for the giant hole he left. He was my best friend, confidant, and muse. His loud purr was the most magical sound in the world. We were inseparable; he was always by my side. Calvin comforted me through many difficult times and I would like to believe I made him feel better too. He lived an extremely long and happy life. No one can ever replace him.

Gertrude and Gus have found their forever home ♥️

Meet Gertrude and Gus! This sibling pair born around 9/23/20 is still looking for their forever home after being rescued from a local animal control when their time was up. They are such sweet kitties and enjoying hanging out and snuggling with people. Gus particularly enjoys getting in a jacket someone is wearing and likes to be carried around (he starts making biscuits and purrs the whole time!). Gertrude and Gus are available for adoption and are located at Oswego Animal Hospital, Oswego, IL. Please email [email protected] if interested in adopting one or both!

ADOPTED!!!! ♥️♥️♥️

MEET STELLA! WAITING FOR HER FOREVER HOME SINCE 10/25/20. Stella is available for adoption after being picked up as a stray. Her owner was reached and he chose to surrender Stella instead of picking up from her stray hold. Stella is 8 years old (born November of 2012). She has a pretty good amount of energy for a dog her age, and will still need someone who knows she is an older but still active girl with plenty of years left to enjoy. She seems to do well with dogs at the clinic, including smaller dogs. We are unsure about cats. During her intake exam she was poked with vaccinations and had a full physical exam and was friendly the entire duration of the exam. For this reason, we believe she would likely be ok with kids in her new forever home. Stella's adoption fee is $159 which includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations, and routine labwork. If interested in adopting, please email us at [email protected]. HOUSED AT MALLARD POINT VET CLINIC, CHANNAHON, IL!

Meet Shiva! She has been waiting for her forever home since 6/15/20 😔 located at Shorewood Animal Care Center in Shorewood, IL. Her birthday is 8/8/17. She is thought to be a German Shepherd and Basset Hound mix and she was adopted from us as a puppy, returned due to what the previous home thought was separation anxiety (she would potty inside every time they left the house). They said otherwise Shiva was potty trained and was great with their children, a very good girl. She was once more adopted, and was returned as they had a hard time controlling Shiva in a busy neighborhood cul-de-sac setting as she became overly fixated on and reactive to things like kids on swings, scooters, bikes, skateboards..etc. this home reported no potty accidents in the home at all. Shiva would prefer a home where someone is home often, and due to previous issues with a dog in the home and her behavior at the kennel, a home without other pets would be best. Even though she has done well with kids in the past, due to her issues with the last home we recommend no children in the home. Shiva needs out of the kennel ASAP as she is beginning to be kennel stressed and would like to find a forever home. As she has been in boarding for so long, new homes should expect a long decompression/adjustment period. If you are interested in giving Shiva her forever home, email [email protected]

We were making so many treats, eventually a barkery was born. All of our treats are made using pet safe ingredients and we let our our pets decide if a new recipe makes it into our assortment or not.
