How many puppies do you see?
These guys are just over 2 weeks old, are Pyrenees/Anatolian and are out of my guardian line.
I have seen a disturbing trend since moving down to Texas, and that's people selling pups as young as 4 weeks old. Pups should stay with mom forva minimum of 8 weeks and there are many reasons for this. First and foremost the health of your puppy not just physical but mental. Secondly alot of issues dont show their head until 8 weeks along, so it protects your investment. This is for all breed of dogs.
Now let's talk guardians, these guys should never leave mom until 10-12 weeks old. Between 7-10 weeks mom teaches them things like boundaries and manners that will take you a year to teach them. By 12 weeks they have learned how to patrol the property and safely keep predators at bay, how to interact with the livestock, and not to chase them. These are things that if you take them away early you now have yo teach them, as well as pack hierarchy. Which will take you a year to two years to teach your new pup, which sets them behind in guarding your livestock, also makes the dogs more people oriented than stock oriented which you dont want. You want your dog to be an independent thinker. I have people all the time tell me I have cute "fur babies" I correct them quickly. My dogs are not babies, they are my partners, when was the last time you entrusted a baby with 100 grand worth of livestock. They fail my family starves. Definitely not a pet either, they take the night watch so I can sleep, they keep my money safe from thieves both 4 and 2 legged variety. You want them to respect you, love you, but be independent from you. Guardians aren't babies, aren't pets, they are working not so silent partners.
So when searching for a guardian for your livestock go to a good breeder. One that understands their development and how keeping them with mom a minimum of 10 weeks is crucial for their job training. Please never buy one under 8 weeks of age, as it just perpetuates the problem of overbreeding and bad breeding. This is generally a practice of puppy mills and backyard breeders who want to spend as little on the pups as possible to make the highest profit. These little cuties will be available the end of May. They were born February 21 2022.
I will take deposits PM for more info.
