Everyone please help us welcome Popeye to our Farmily! We accidentally met on Thursday when we were dropping off two dogs for surgery. Somebody was bringing him in to drop him off and he was in such bad condition completely filthy, one eye that is visible and barely working, arthritis, a huge mass or hernia and running around as a stray. we told the woman we would help so we cuddled him in a blankie we waited for our turn to check in our two dogs. We knew that he needed somebody so we told the shelter that we would take him. He was micro chipped so they contacted the owners and the owners have loved him for 10 years and are very nice people, but they Agreed to surrender because he does need medical care and a good spa day! He is going at 10 o’clock this morning to see Fur Slayer LLC to have his makeover! we also will have him scheduled with our amazing veterinarians to develop a care plan and hopefully surgery to remove that mass or hernia. This senior boy is such a sweet boy! He’s potty trained and he gets around really great for not being able to see. Poor little guy can barely chew his food, but we figured out how to make sure he can get it all in the belly. He just needs a crafty chef!😜 we will post pictures today after he gets groomed. Thank you Leticia for fitting us in today! We cannot wait to see his transformation! 🙏🏼❤️🙌🏼🐾

STOP DUMPING PETS!!! we got a text from a friend saying that there were cats at IHOP that everybody was approaching that we dumped. As soon as we were done with chores, we ran up there to check it out. There were way more cats than we thought. We spoke to the staff at IHOP and they said that the orange one, which we did not find, had just showed up over the weekend. The rest had been there for a week. The ones that were there would not let us even touch them, but we were able to lower them into a Zip carrier by putting a trail of food into the back of it. Just because you dump your pets at an establishment with food does not mean that somebody is going to take them in. It does not mean they’re not gonna get hit by a car. It does not mean that they will be safe from becoming prey. And it definitely does not mean that Rescue has room to come and get them. We are still looking for Foster for the three kittens that we took in and now we will be looking for fosters for these. Stop dumping your pets! Not only is it illegal that you are putting your animals lives in danger! By the way, my mini me is pretty freaking good at this! And since she is the kitty manager, she feels very deeply about this. #ThisIsRescue #StopDumpingYourPets #DumpingIsIllegal #TrappingCats #LeftBehind #IHOP#IHaveCats #AnimalWelfare
Sometimes they go to the donations boxes and get what they want. In this case Mojo and Maple would like to thank CUDDLY and whomever purchased this blanket for our rescue! It has been the most fun watching them play with it… now it goes into the laundry! 😎#SillyDogs #ThankfulGratefulBlessed #DonationsAppreciated #IDoWhatIWant #FunnyDogs #FunnyAnimals
‼️PAWSPECTIVE‼️When you see the dog in the cage, what do you think? You can read the comment (first photo of glasses) that was made on one of our posts about our Friendship Pen with Brûlée in it. Here’s another 2024 “Educate Don’t Hate” video from us! Some dogs come to us so messed up that everyone from the vet, to friends, to our team all say, “unadoptable!” Yep. It’s a label because it’s true. As a rescuer who provides both physical and mental health treatment, that’s their diagnosis. The Friendship Pen provides so much more than a cage. The scared dog lives inside our place but is brought out to the pen everyday, multiple times a day. The dog gets to see us bring the pack out multiple times a day. They growl at each other. It turns into sniffing. It then turns into licking. Then it turns into a level of comfort where the scared dog is able to do a trial playdate with the pack. It never takes the same amount of time! Every dog is different and we respect that. Who are we to tell them they should heal at our pace??? Honey (the dog in the video) lived her years on this earth as a dumped dog who found her way to a trailer park and hid under cars. No contact. She came out to eat food and was never touched. They came close once but she showed all of her teeth so she was left to live this way for two years, having litter after litter. Honey has been with us since August 11, 2024. It has taken 90 days to get to where we are today and we couldn’t be more proud of her! This “cage” has given her a new life. She was unadoptable on August 11. Today we think she’s adoptable! What do you think? Do you still think our cage is bad? #TeamHoney #WeAreProudOfYou #ThisIsRescue #NotACage #FriendshipPen #YouAreLoved #YouAreBeautiful #FarrellDog #Healing #Rehabilitation #RehabilitationIsKey #PatienceIsKey #LoveIsKey #Pawspective #EducateDon’tHate
Welcome Doc and Eminem to the Farmily! We got a call months ago from i Heart Animal Rescue asking if we had space for these two amazing sibling pups who were born with CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia-a condition that affects the cerebellum, which is the part of the brain that coordinates movement). At the moment we did not, but we’re making room and asked for them to give us some time. Well through many weeks of waiting and an entire month of trying to regroup as both Hurricane Helene hitting then Hurricane Milton hitting, we finally got to that day! Saturday their rescue brought these two sweet 7 month old boys to us. We’d like to give big kudos and recognition to their rescue for not only taking in and raising these boys to give them a chance, but also for conditioning them to receive life. You all know we are so very big on mental health. We can tell when a special needs animal has been truly loved and cared for. The amount of love that a person gives to special needs animals fuels the desire to live freely and make progress, and that was done here! Thank you iHeart Animal Rescue! You can see in the video that they are functional CH pups! They are potty trained and are becoming crate trained and we will be checking their social skills in the coming week. If you want to give one of these boys a good home, please reach out! They are so cool and we would love to schedule for you to come meet with them! They are both up to date on everything and completely vetted! Welcome to the Farmily, boys! We have a huge world of followers and friends who will envelop you with love and prayer! 🙏🏼❤️🐾 #TeamDocAndEminem #CHPups #SpecialNeeds #handicapable #CerebellarHypoplasia #thisisrescue #YouAreLoved #YouAreBeautiful
WE BUSTED WILLOW OUT OF QUARANTINE! Poor little Willow (formerly Georgina in Pasco Shelter) has been in veterinary quarantine for 72 days, following a few months in the shelter, after being deemed a WUO dog. In Pasco County, Wound of Unknown Origin animals have to be placed on Q for fear of rabies infection. She is only a puppy and has spent SO MUCH TIME in a kennel with only approved contact theough one staff member (per regulations). Thank you Quail Hollow for socializing her to the best extent! She came in frozen and barely moving and she’s leaving on a slip lead! Thank you for allowing us to make this adorable video. THANK YOU BIG for taking these dogs into your veterinary boarding so that we can save their lives. They would otherwise get euthanized sithout your program and if a rescue wont commit! They dont like to commit because we have to pay boarding fees while they are in Q. This stay was over $1,700!!! 🫣 Willow has a very scared personality but we are excited to change that soon! She is the most beautiful little boxer mix and we are PRAYING she gets the best home so she can blossom into her full potential with her furrever family! Thank you Nancy Boyce for buying her treats, toys and a bed while she was in Q! Thank you for paying some of her boarding fees! You have been such a light in this situation and always the biggest support of the Pitties! We love you! #TeamWillow #Jailbreak #FalselyAccused #WronglyAccused #InnocenceProject #Pitbull #Boxer #YouAreLoved #YouAreBeautiful #JustAPuppy #WelcomeHome #WelcomeToTheFarmily
