TGIF to you all! Tis the season for everyone to be very busy with shopping, decorating and baking. However, I think I know a way to make some of all those fun things easier. This Saturday, from 10-3 the Merry Market is going on at the Plant City High School. Mom is going to be there and Mrs. Sue is going to be there with her sweet candies. Hint: great presents to give. We have heard that she makes the best Peanut Butter Balls in the entire universe!
We had to say a final good-by to our Walter. So, we all bowed our heads and wished him a wonderful life at the Rainbow Bridge. We were all positive that all of our other friends that we have lost, greeted him with open paws.
Okay, I promised to update you on letters to Santa. Let me tell you that trying to get all of these dogs to settle down to even think about writing a letter is like pulling teeth! I told them that they were worse that toddlers running amuck in the toy section of Walmart! To top it off, Miss Secretary asked for vacation time! I told her in no uncertain terms, using my best manners of course, NOOOOOOOOO! I need all the help I can get, and she needs to listen and write all of this down.
This is what I have discovered so far: Everyone wants a home! So, I need your help. If everyone got a Foster/Adopter that would count as granting their wish. Foster homes are really needed. Jay, Bernard, Poppy, Comet really would like to find homes. That is all they wrote on their list! The others are still working on adding things. I peeked over Moses’ head and I saw something about treats and toys too. I have told everyone that they must have their letters ready by next week-end so that Santa has time to get the elves busy. Now, you and I know that Fosters can happen every day, any day, so please consider filling out an application. Remember, fostering costs you nothing, except giving a dog love, room in you heart and space in your home.
Birdie wants to learn how to wrap presents! How do you explain that with no thumbs that would be impossible for her to do? Maybe I will have Miss Secretary explain it to her and show her why it won’t work. The best we could do is put our paw on the ribbon so you can make a nice bow!
Now there is a lot of barking in the yard, from what I can gather it is something about a Christmas tree and lights and decorations. I need to go see what that’s all about. I will check in next week and keep you posted. Hope you make it to the Merry Market so that your holiday shopping is easier!
