Tonight I lost a sweet client to lung cancer, Sweet Duchess. I watched her many years ago, and only recently she came back into my life. Glad she did though. I will never forget her, as I’ll remember her sweet demeanor, her smile when she’s happy, (she will literally smile, teeth and all). When she was tired and wanted you to go to bed already (she would lay her head on your lap fall asleep and whine) oh Duchy I will sure miss you, love you.

Since January 2020 I’ve lost a hand full of loved ones.
My sweet wonderful mother, 4 months later, my dog Nico (mom’s dog), my home... and so many of my friends and clients dogs and cats. I feel like this page has become a memorial page.

Hoping 2021 will be a happier year.

My heart is broken. If those have seen my posts over the years about Pedro the homeless man and Dim... please help me spread the word. I was told that Dim was STOLEN! Someone who goes to see them reported it on NextDoor app. I have no way to contact this person as it is out of my area via Nextdoor app.
I made a pawboost poster with a pic I took of Dim a few years back. I am going to visit with Pedro tomorrow after work if he is around. I know he is heart broken. Dim is his best friend. I wish a news station would pick up this story.
It is wrong to steal from anyone, let alone a homeless man who takes good care of his dog, better than himself.

***UPDATE*** REUNITED!! Dim/skyline is home safe & sound after 3 days, 17 hours :)

Please spread the word! Dim/skyline was LOST on December 1, 2020 in Miami-Dade County, FL 33015 near Near Burger King on 67th Ave and palmetto

Description: Chi mix - tan with white on face. Loves everyone! Belongs to a homeless man. Well cared for. Has a chip! About 10-15 lbs
Full of energy and may have a tattoo line ink where he had a tummy operation.

Dog Stolen from Homeless man - he said it was a White SUV. Reported it to police: The dog goes by the name of Dim/chip registered under name Skyline. He was originally adopted thru MDAS about 6 years ago. He has been well cared for by Pedro and those in the Miami Lakes area. He has regular check ups at Care Corner Vet. Whoever stoled this dog needs to do the right thing and return Dim to Pedro! That is his family! He is truly loved!!! How could anyone do this?!?!
I have personally known them for 6-7 years and Pedro always made sure Dim was well cared for. PLEASE DO THE RIGHT THING AND RETURN HIM!!!

Spending a little time with sweet Cooper. He misses his sister Piper, as do I. Tears rolled down my face as I walked in the house and not getting one of Piper’s whiny greetings with a toy in her mouth 🌈🐶😢.
2020 just blows. But grateful to have some pet sitting.

Dear WWT fam,

As most of you know - those whom kept in touch with me often know my situation and my move to Ft. Myers is on hold for now. With that said I will be staying locally a bit longer. Don’t know for how much longer, but at least till possibly after the Holidays. It’s been an emotional roller coaster. Trying to figure my “new” life without my mom, and her support. We were each other’s support in every single way. I am broke emotionally and finically, and it’s just easier, emotionally and finically to stay local for a bit longer. Also, I believe I need time to “soak” everything in. It’s been non-stop since my lovely mom passed away and our dog Nico (who joined her just last month) I need my support team, and most of them are here, locally. I will be staying with a client and also my friend/boss. I will be able to take care of my debt and save up, so I can afford something on my own. If some of you are wondering if my mom left me money. Sadly no, she never had enough to keep up with life insurance, etc. We were living by pay check by pay check. Anyway, I have another wonderful client who knows the law and is helping me to find out about any type of housing assistance and to see if I am entitled to any disability benefits. If any of my clients practice law in Florida, please reach out and perhaps you can help us... Thank you! Andrea
P.S - Please be patient about pet sitting dates, especially for the Holidays... still trying to figure THAT out as well, as I am trying to visit my family in Ohio or try and get away to see friends out of state, as the Holidays alone (even if I’m pet sitting) will be really tough. Since it’ll be the first without my mom.

Hi there WWT fam,

As you know I have been through a lot these past few months. I am still in the process of moving and for right now, my living situation is in limbo, due to a few things. It seems like I will be remaining in South Fla for a bit longer. Perhaps for another month, maybe 2. I will be staying with one of my clients and with my friend/boss (will be going back and forth)
Nico (mom’s dog)passed away Aug 17th - as I mentioned on my personal page along with one of my rescued dogs (who was adopted 17 yrs ago), Max. Max also passed away on the same day as Nico. And 3 long time clients passed away in July-August. 💔🌈

Nico was the last of our original 4 pack, and the last thing I had of my mom.

Pet sitting is still slow and still up in the air as it is mainly only me. For those who asked for dates, I will need time to figure things out. Especially the holiday dates.
I have Noel to worry about and I also need to take a trip to Ohio at some point with my mom’s ashes.

Forgive me if I haven’t been on top of my game lately. I’ve been dealing with a lot in the last 6 months.
