The cattle market is not broken.

Recently, higher beef prices at the grocery store have become a hot topic. It’s made local and national news headlines and taken social media by storm. That attention has fueled a narrative that something is “wrong” with the beef supply chain, pulling ranchers, media, elected officials and industry critics into a fast-moving conversation.

In today's Cattlemen's Column, Shelby Horn, Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association director, discusses the multiple factors impacting prices and what the market really needs: time.

Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association will stay focused on cutting through the noise, elevating the facts and ensuring the market has the time and clarity it needs to work as intended.

Let’s think about this for a minute. The day Jesus went up to Heaven, there were about 500 people who witnessed it happen. He told them to go to Jerusalem and wait on the promise, which was the Holy Spirit. Only 120 were willing to be obedient. What happened to the other 380 people?

My point is, don’t get discouraged if everyone you witness to, pray with, and pray for don’t make it to Church. Just keep on living for Jesus. If He couldn’t get all of them to commit, who do I think I am if i think I can make them? Just keep on living for Jesus, some will follow.

If we could show you a way to invest $3000 dollars to earn a profit of $130,000 dollars over the next ten years, what would you do? Take a look at the graph below, these numbers are based on paying $6500 dollars for a Registered Red Brangus bull vs. $3500 for an average commercial bull. Per testimonials and Association experience, these bulls can add 75 lbs. to your calf crop at weaning.
These numbers are based on just lbs. and does not take into consideration premium pricing based on confirmation, phenotype, muscle and the potential for added pounds at the feed lot, or feed efficiency; therefore, this number could be considerably more than the graph indicates.

Give a Red Brangus bull a try and reap the rewards!!!!!
