Keeping your pet on flea and tick medication year-round is important because fleas and ticks can be active even during colder months. We have patients come in with ticks & fleas all year long despite it being wintertime.
Fleas are resilient pests, capable of enduring temperatures as low as 46 degrees
Ticks can transmit a variety of diseases to pets, including Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and ehrlichiosis, which can be serious.
Even indoor only pets can be exposed to fleas/ticks through various means like clothing & visitors.
Keeping your pet on consistent protection prevents pests from spreading serious diseases like Lyme disease, while also minimizing the chance of a sudden infestation by interrupting their life cycle, making it much easier to manage parasite control.
We have a variety of prevention in the office including Simparica Trio, Bravecto, Frontline, Nexgard and Provecta!
Even if you don’t buy it from us, you should buy all prevention from a licensed veterinarian to ensure the best quality.

Happy Veterinary Technician Week to another one of our wonderful technicians!!
Megan graduated with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Science Technology in 2022 & passed her VTNE and graduated with her Bachelors in Veterinary Science Technology in 2023. Then has been working with us since! 🩺
Megans favorite things about being in vet med is witnessing the positive outcomes of treatment of her patents and seeing them recover and thrive. She also loves building relationships with pet owners and educating them about their animal's health needs. 🐾

Her favorite things to do outside of work is hiking/walking, crocheting and going on adventures with her pets and husband.

She has 1 dog (Dobby), 2 cats Lou Lou & Luke) and 1 horse (Ally). 🩷🐾

She has been working with us since she graduated from SUNY Canton in 2016. Sierra said her favorite part about working in Veterinary medicine is helping all the animals & getting to see them everyday.

She enjoys spending time outside & gardening on her free time!
