This is why I refuse to sell a single goat to someone who has no other goats at home. Goats feel very insecure when they are alone.

Over the years I've received a lot of phone calls from people who realized this after someone sold them "a pet goat." The goat may be screaming non-stop all day or escaping and dancing on the car, eating their flowers, running into the road, or refusing to leave the front porch (where it's pooping, of course). One person said the goat wouldn't stay out of her horse pasture, which the horses did not like, and she was afraid the goat was going to be killed by a swift kick.

All milk from mammals contains lactose. However, if you experience discomfort after drinking cow milk, it could be due to an allergy to the cow milk protein. If you have a cow milk allergy, you may be able to drink goat milk. However, if are truly lactose intolerant, you cannot drink any mammalian milk without discomfort.
