Did you know…

Louis and Clark had a Landseer Newfoundland with them on their expedition. Louis bought him in 1803 because he could assist with water rescue, was docile, and strong. His name was Seaman and he was with them their whole journey. Upon Louis’s death, Seaman refused to eat and passed away due to grief.

I have been blessed to have Newfoundlands around my whole life. And the true protector and family dog is an amazing combination with the smartness and athleticism of a standard poodle.
