Want to keep feeding your garden all winter long?? Grab yourself some seeds to plant. We have just started our winter rye and winter peas in order to get them established before those chilly temps start to come. These cover crops are great for winter since they can tolerate the cold temps and keep living roots in your soil (which is the best way to keep your soil healthy!) We pick up our cover crop seeds from Morrison's Home and Garden

Today marks our 9-year Dog-Anniversary with Moose, who has been with the Green family since 2015! It's safe to say he enjoys farm life over his previous apartment living.

Moose plays an important role on the farm: chipmunk patrol! Who knows, next time you stop by the stand for eggs & flowers, he might come say hello and ask for an ear scratch. We love you, Moose.

Farmstand is open today and stocked with just eggs. The โ€œbabyโ€ chickens eggs are starting to get bigger and brighter with their colors.
Other things to look forward to are these hyacinths beans that are getting ready to be picked. I am looking forward to adding these to future fall bouquets. ๐Ÿ’

Coming to Plymouth Spring 2025!

This is what fall flower prep looks likeโ€”planting out flowers that need to be overwintered. In the spring, you can expect to see Snapdragons, Feverfew, Yarrow, Delphinium, White Ammi, Forget-me-nots, Larkspur, and Nigella. Which are you most excited for?

The stand is open! We have lots of eggs this year and of course bouquets for any Labor Day gatherings. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿฅš
With cool weather on its way and fall yard work ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ approaching we have some requests. We are looking for grass clippings and leaves from untreated lawns/yards. Did you know both grass clippings and leaves make great mulch and compost? Our goal is to disturb the soil as little as possible and feed the soil with only natural and local amendments. That means compost๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿฅ•, worm castings๐Ÿชฑ๐Ÿ’ฉ, mulching๐Ÿ๐Ÿชต and cover cropping๐ŸŒฑ. We leave plant roots in the ground after they are done blooming to let the bugs and worms and everything else that lives underground munch with the agreement that they will provide us healthy soil and microbiome.
