The entire Parkway staff is dedicated to providing the best possible care for you and your pets. Eventually, Dr. McClumpha was joined by Dr. Kirchgatter.

Quality veterinary care for your pet's has been our mission for over 50 years. Dr. Charles Bares and Dr. Elizabeth Routson are proud to carry on this tradition. Parkway Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. Wes Lichfeldt in 1949. The practice served both large and small animals and was surrounded by fields and open space. Over the years, Dr. McClumpha became the veterinarian and gradually the pract

ice grew to serve the small animal population. Dr. Bares became a partner in 1975, as the practice continued to grow. Dr. Routson joined the practice in 1990.. Dr. Routson grew up in the Plymouth/Canton community and Dr. Bares grew up in surrounding communities. Our veterinarians have all remained committed to serving this area which has served us so well throughout our early years. We are dedicated to remaining an integral part of this community for years to come. We strive to practice high quality medicine. We appreciate your faith in allowing us to partner with you in caring for your pets.

Parkway Veterinary would like to give a huge welcome to our new teammate. Dr. Jessica Dalton.

Dr. Dalton grew up in a rural town in northern Nevada. She attended veterinary school at Washington State University, graduating Suma Cum Lada in 2019. Since graduating she has been both a general practice small animal veterinarian and worked as a veterinarian at a hospice care specialty practice in Houston, Texas. Dr. Dalton moved to Dexter, Michigan in the summer of 2024. She is passionate about senior pet wellness care, dermatology and nutrition.
Dr. Dalton enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her husband and two dogs. She is looking forward to gardening and raising chickens in her Michigan home.
