🐱 This kitty was found in Plymouth (not sure on the exact location), 1-2 weeks ago.
She has been hanging out at the clinic to treat a painful abscess on the side of her neck.
We don't know much about her, other than she was previously spayed by Public Vet and has a sassy personality.

It’s spooky season 👻

With Halloween just around the corner, do you know how to keep your pet safe during the celebrations?

During Halloween evening, we recommend you:

🐕 Walk your dog earlier in the day, as the streets will be busier than usual.
🚪 Keep your pet in a separate room with their toys and blankets.
🔒 Secure any escape routes, because stressed-out pets may try to run and get lost.
🤠 Keep your costume pet-safe, with no small bits that might be chewed off or become a choking hazard.
🐟 A few weeks in advance, move your cat’s dinner time to before it gets dark, to encourage them to come home earlier.

We also recommend for all pets to be microchipped. If they escape during the celebrations, this is the best way to guarantee they’ll be brought back home.
If your pet isn’t microchipped, book a microchipping appointment with us in via the link in our bio!

Wow! I would like to take a moment to share our experience at Parrett Veterinary Clinic today. One of our staff members smelled natural gas. We were ordered to evacuate by the utility company until an inspection was made. The staff here was AMAZING. Every pet (an entire hospital full!) got a cozy spot in the vehicles of our employees. Granted, some pets were less thrilled about this than others: our clinic bird, Petie, is pretty ticked at us right now! 😂 Regardless, it was awesome to see the entire team here evacuate in a calm, coordinated, and speedy manner while also being sure to provide all the pets with safe, warm, comfortable places to wait it all out. Thankfully, the leak was very minor and deemed a non-emergency. After about 30 minutes, everybody was back inside like nothing happened. I can't express enough how proud I am to be part of this team. Watching their compassion and concern for the pets in action during an event where their own safety could've been at stake was truly amazing. My heart is full. ♥️🐾♥️ >°.°< Cathy ft.
