What a wonderful weekend it was at PetSmart for the conclusion of PetSmart’s National Adoption week! We are so grateful for everyone who stopped by, those who adopted, our amazing fosters, and the amazing team at our local PetSmart-Josh and his staff are always so helpful and kind. Several cats and a couple of dogs have found their forever homes and we couldn't be more thankful. Here's to many more happy tails and forever homes! ❤️🐾

Hi, I'm Ladybug but I go by Lady! I am about 8yrs old but you wouldn't know it. I act and look like much younger. I am almost 45lbs and have the most beautiful "pitbull smile". One of my favorite things to do is lay on the couch next to my humans. I like to be with my people as much as possible and will follow them around the house. I have some separation anxiety and have trouble sleeping alone. If my forever home lets me sleep with them at night (preferably under the blankets), I would be in heaven! My foster parents have found that once I'm in a routine, I am okay with be left home for a few hours. They just leave me in the living room when they go to work and I do great. If you work from home or dont work at all, I'll be the perfect companion! Another thing I love to do is play with toys. I can shred a stuffed animal in minutes so make sure you have some tough toys! I also love to chew on nylabones. When we are outside, I love to attack the water from the sprinklers and hose. So if you are looking for a silly girl who wants nothing more than to cuddle all day, I'm the perfect fit!

Introducing Demon and Dreamer, the dynamic duo looking for their forever home! These two brothers must stay together as they are inseparable and have a special bond. Demon is the more vocal and cuddly one, while Dreamer is the calm, partially blind companion. They just turned 2 and are the best of friends, with Demon even acting as Dreamer's seeing eye dog.

These boys need a loving home where they can thrive and be given the attention they deserve. They have some special needs, including Demon's PTSD from a past experience with a toddler and Dreamer's glaucoma. They love their toys, treats, and each other.

Hello, My name is Blue

When I first came to my foster family, I was mean, come to find out I was very sick, this would include FIV. I pobably have been on the streets my whole life, but this doesn't define me! I'm about 5-6 years old.

After some antibiotics, I have turned to the beautiful Russian blue I am now.

It takes a minute for me to get use to people, but once I do, I'm a big baby and will take cuddles for a bit. I still nibble when I don't want attention; this I am working on.

My foster family loves me, and I get along with their cats and dogs (I tolerate them). I have currently found the full spectrum of being an indoor kitty, being spoiled and all from my foster family. I can use a kitty box, I love treats, but I'm picky on my wet foods, I like the meat kind best, not fond of fish.

Hello,

My name is Copper. I am a Sheppard mix and was an owner surrender, so for the life I have known, I had been with my owner. Now I'm with my foster family, who I have come to love. They have kitties and dogs, and I get along with most, still chasing the kitties every once in a while now to play with them.

I am working on walking with a lead. I don't mean to pull, but I still do.

I know how to sit and stay and handshake (still working on).

I am good with children who are 11+, not known other than that. I'm not sure if I am good with babies or toddlers.

Meet Ellie! Our current foster, this beautiful, sweet girl is only about 2 years old but she's had a tough go of it in her short life. Her original owner was elderly and passed away with her in the home which caused her to have some pretty bad separation anxiety. She was then passed between a few remaining family members but it wasn't a good fit and has caused her to be a little hesitant to put her trust in people again. We're working on it and she's came a long way in a short time. She does great with females, but is scared of men at first and needs time to build trust. Once she trusts you she will follow you everywhere and is very content to just be near her people. She would be perfect for someone retired looking for a best friend or companion or in a home where you can work from home or be able to take her with you since she doesn't like being left alone for long periods, a few hours is fine after she gets comfortable and acclimates to her new environment. She loves kids has been awesome with male dogs and cats but would be best in a home without another female dog. If you think you have it in you to give her the time, love and attention she deserves please reach out for a meet and greet!

Remember Jonah, this sweet boy is stilling looking for his family 🤎🐾. We have included some new pictures!

This handsome boy is a mix of husky, German shepherd, Australian Shepherd, and border collie, and he's just 2 years old.

Jonah is incredibly smart and already knows how to go into his kennel when asked. He can be a bit timid on walks, but with some patience and reassurance, he'll gain more confidence. He's also quite oral and loves to pick up items and hold them in his mouth - sometimes even giving them a little chew. He's a big fan of bones and toys!

This clever pup has even figured out how to open a sliding glass door and windows. So, if you're looking for a dog who will keep you on your toes, Jonah might be the perfect match for you. He would thrive with someone who can invest time in training and exercising him.

Despite his initial shyness, Jonah is very social with his people and absolutely adores snuggles. He's just an all-around good dog who deserves a loving home. We're not sure how he is with children under nine years old or other animals, as his previous interactions haven't been documented. However, with proper introductions and socialization, he may do well in a home with other pets or older children.

Jonah loves sitting at the window and will happily perch there like a cat. He's also house trained and has been trained to ring a bell when he needs to go outside. If you tell him to "kennel up," he'll walk right to his kennel and go in. He may be nervous around new people, but with treats and time, he warms up and becomes more comfortable.

Please note that Jonah can be a bit timid on hikes and isn't the best with traveling in vehicles, as he hasn't had much experience in that area.

🐾 Meet Taz! This sweet boy is full of energy and love, but also enjoys his cuddle time. While he may have lazy moments and prefer lounging in bed all day, Taz also loves zooming around the backyard and taking dirt baths when he's in the mood.

Taz adores children of all ages and gets along well with small dogs. Though he may initially be a bit rambunctious with small animals and cats, he is a true angel around them! Taz originally came from Georgia and was used as a bait dog so big dogs and medium dogs are a definite no. Taz is best suited as the only dog in the household, but with a proper introduction, he could look live with a small dog.

This 7-9 year old pup is a quick learner - he knows how to sit, shake, and is highly treat-motivated. He enjoys road trips and will happily snooze through long journeys. Taz's favorite toys include his kong filled with peanut butter, antlers, and benebones. He has no known allergies and is crate trained.

Say hello to the striking Indy!

Indy is a playful girl who loves to be with her people. She's a 5-year-old American Bull Terrier. Indy is crate trained and potty trained. She's great with other dogs once she is introduced correctly and gets used to them. She loves kids. Indy is active, but her true love is snuggling up and hanging out with you. She absolutely loves playing with her hedgehog toy, going for walks/hikes and car rides. She also enjoys to run and play around in the snow. Would be best in a home with no cats. If you could use a little cheerful love in your life, look no further than Ms. Indy!
