🐶 Chicken Veggie Pizza for Dogs
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of whole wheat flour (you can use oat flour or another flour if your dog has wheat allergies)
- 1/2 cup of rolled oats
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder (optional)
- 1/2 cup of water 💧
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1/2 cup of cooked, shredded chicken breast
- 1/4 cup of grated carrots
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped spinach or broccoli
- 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese (optional, if your dog is not lactose intolerant)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Prepare the crust: In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, rolled oats, and baking powder (if using). Add the water and olive oil, mixing until the dough forms a ball. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour; if it’s too dry, add a bit more water.
3. Roll out the dough: Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it out into a pizza shape, about 1/4-inch thick. Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet.
4. Add toppings: Spread the shredded chicken evenly over the dough, followed by the grated carrots and chopped spinach or broccoli. If using cheese, sprinkle it lightly over the top.
5. Bake: Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the toppings are cooked through.
6. Cool: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool completely. Once cooled, cut it into small, bite-sized pieces appropriate for your dog.
Storage:
Store any leftover pizza in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Enjoy making this fun and healthy pizza for your furry friend!

If a skimmer is being operated in water that is too shallow or too deep, often times this will cause bubbles to exit the skimmer prematurely leading to microbubbles. Always check the manufacturer's recommendation for water depth and stick to it as this will help reduce microbubbles.

Pocatello Animal Services Reminds Residents of Leash Law

Under Pocatello City Code Chapter 6.04, all dogs are required to be on a leash no longer than 10 feet long and the person with the dog or dogs must have physical control of the leash.

It’s all about safety with leashes, not only for other people but the dog as well,” said Richard Stewart, Animal Services Director. “By keeping your dog on a leash, you protect your fellow residents but you also keep your dog from getting into a potentially dangerous situation. Even a well-intentioned and loving dog could cause harm to themselves or someone else when running or walking loose.”

There are locations around the city that provide exceptions to the leash law. They are Bartz Field on the Idaho State University campus, Bannock Bark Park in Old Town, and the new Katie’s Dog Park across from the animal shelter. At these places, dogs are allowed to go free as long as they are under the supervision and control of their owner or custodian.
