I got called out two weeks ago for another case of foxtail. These four horses had quite a few extremely painful ulcerations in their mouth from the bad hay.. Luckily we were able to go in and pluck out the foxtail allowing the ulcerations to heal! Today we rechecked the mouths and they are Almostt 100% healed up.
Be sure you are checking your hay thoroughly so this doesn’t happen to your herd! If you happen to have foxtail affecting your horses mouth shoot me a message and we will get them on the schedule as soon as possible!🙂

May be a few days late but doesn’t make me any less thankful for all of my clients!! I am so thankful for each and every one of you who trust me with your animals. I am thankful for the Veterinarians who believe in what we do! And I am Most thankful for everyone I have met through this amazing career who I can call friends. I would also like say I am very thankful for some fellow peers who have made me feel welcome in this career and have even reached out to help one another! Good day at Urban Acres Sanctuary! Was able to get in there and help some of her rescues she just got in along with some others!
Haven’t been posting much lately life has been busy busy..
But I’m always excepting new clients and not too far booked out!
Now is a great time to have your herd checked out to insure they can eat and process their grain adequately before the cold winter months hit! If you would like to get your equine on my schedule just shoot me a message!

Okay’d by owner to post! My client bought this mare not to long ago for a broodmare, over a few months of feeding her up she just wouldn’t gain much weight. Upon initial exam she was super sensitive in the face and I felt a huge golf ball size knot on her right side of mouth. After opening her mouth up it became very apparent as to why the knot was there. Her 106 tooth acted like a knife repeatedly jabbing into her Cheek tissue. We were aggressive but not Overly aggressive with how irritated everything already was. We will finish the float and get everything corrected in her next visit! And now we have given her the best chance to get plenty of nutrients to herself and a baby. Even your ol broodmares need their teeth floated too! I have limited availability for may. Some more pictures of this weekend. We totaled 24 equine! Just a reminder I do just about all of them: horses,mules,donkeys,minis, etc! My client was kind enough to capture some different moments from her group. I take pride in being as gentle as can be, teaching the owners as I go, and making sure they patient is comfortable after their dental work! As always, now is as good as any time to schedule your equines dental exam! They will thank you 😁

What a BEAUTIFUL day to do what you love🤩 When your office is out in Gods country what more can you ask for? 16 horses later we’re back home reviewing the day. All I know is I Had some great help, worked on some great horses, all in all a great day it was!

Just a few pictures from today work.. First one is just a before picture but of course I got to talking and forgot to take an after picture. Pulled a cap on a c**t as well as floating him… Got a few other done.
THEN we have a little filly that was rescued not long ago. She has been doing so good with her new home, The champ she is, she never showed an ounce of discomfort. She had 5 retained caps, 4 of which started to cause the permanent teeth to erupt out of place. It’s never pretty pulling this many teeth but she will benefit greatly from this! By extracting the 501/601/701/801 she should now erupt her permanents correctly and straighten back out. Moved to the back of her mouth she had some pretty big wolf teeth we went ahead and took out as well as a cap that had feed/hay packed into it causing a nasty smell! This just goes to show you some horses will never show you signs that they NEED the work. Younger horses should be at least checked every 6mo!

I will be at a barn in between Broken Arrow and Coweta on march 9th. The barn owner will be allowing haul-ins!! If anyone is interested in coming to this, please pm me and I can set you up with a time to be there and share the exact location! Thank you and please share so no one is left out. 🙂 They have a very nice set up for easy access and plenty of room! This will be the second time we have done haul ins at this location!
