But what does “socialization” REALLY mean?? 🤔

It is great to expose your new pup to the world around them, but do so CAREFULLY. Socialization and exposure don’t have to include physical interactions between your dog and other people and dogs in their environment.

Actually, allowing your dog to simply NOTICE another person or dog and then calmly REDIRECTING them back to you for a reward is a great start toward minimizing risks of reactivity toward strangers in the future!
