While egg hunting is usually an Easter activity, ALL of my chickens have decided to start hiding their eggs in July so the hunt is on. It appears there might be a snake hiding in their coop or close by and they're trying to safeguard their eggs. It will be a challenge to find them all before other animals do, but that's the joy of raising free-range chickens. Apologies for the recent shortage of supply; we're doing our best to locate the source of the issue and fix it.

Our hatching process has been highly effective, yielding a 100% success rate for fertilized eggs and resulting in 12 healthy chicks. We are also equipped to provide hatching eggs and chicks for sale. Please contact us if you have any inquiries.

Update: SOLD OUT OF EGGS

Happy Independence Day.
Today we've got eggs, desserts, cucumbers, frozen boiled peanuts, pickles and a mix of sweet/not spicy peppers. The ones that look like Jalapeños are Tam Jalapeños so mild instead of hot.

Eggs are always pay what you can.

Last week was a real treat, wasn't it? We loved all the feedback and requests for more of our delicious cheesecake cups, so we've added another batch to our fridge! They're still only $5 each, and our stand is still self-serve, so swing by anytime and grab a cup (or two, we won't judge!). Oh, and did we mention we still have eggs available? It's a real egg-stravaganza!

We've added pickling/salad Cucumbers to the farm stand this morning 4 for $1. Organically grown without herbicides or pesticides.
Would anyone be interested in purchasing green tomatoes for frying?

We've got Bread and Butter, Dill and Garlic Dill pickles in the Farm Stand, along with frozen boiled peanuts in the freezer. You just have to add the peanuts to a pot and rewarm them. We are sold out of eggs at the moment, they go fast here lately.

Good morning, Ponca City. The Egg Shed at Wildflower Roost has reopened, offering our farm-fresh eggs. We continue with our 'Pay What You Can' system to ensure affordability for everyone. The shed isn't fully finished yet, but we're eager to provide our eggs to the community once more. Please be cautious when entering, as permanent stairs are yet to be constructed.

I was deeply upset when we lost our original stand, but it has turned out to be a blessing in disguise, bringing forth numerous opportunities. We are truly grateful for all our customers and online supporters, even if it's just through a like or a share.

Soon, I'll be offering free native wildflower seeds for planting this fall—the optimal time. If you're interested, let us know, and we'll ensure you receive them. My goal is knowledge, love, and improved planting practices using native plants. Today, I took a significant step towards promoting eco-friendly practices in our community by reaching out to our local conservation district about participating in the Yard By Yard: Community Resiliency Project by OK Conservation. For those unfamiliar with the project, I encourage you to learn more about this excellent initiative that encourages Earth-friendly practices in Oklahoma.

I've been so busy back here in the garden, I haven't had time to finish painting the egg shed but I did get the new fridge cleaned and plugged in, its getting cold and ready to open back up. Over the last few weeks I have planted well over 300 beans and peas, several okra, lettuce, spinach, eggplants, herbs, several varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, gourds and more. My 13 year old even welded me some new sturdier tomato trellis to try out this year. Our garden is really thriving, we brought in a truck load of manure compost in the spring and tilled it in. I burnt the area a few times for w**d control before covering and planting since we dont use herbicides. I do still need the ground to dry some that way I can get my pumpkin patch going so its ready by fall. I should be finished planting everything this week so we can move on to the next project. Wonder what it will be 🤔

16 dozen or more of our farm fresh eggs will be delivered to Camp McFadden tomorrow morning for all the summer camp kiddos to enjoy. We are blessed to be able to donate and help the community even if its just eggs to a local kids camp. I hope they really enjoy them.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, for us it was a long one. The guys, my husband and oldest installed the walls and doors on the our self serve farm shed and I've started painting it, I'm just waiting to see if we get rain today or not. We still need to add stairs and trim it out but it's coming along nicely and I'm excited to see it finished out. We will have eggs back it in this week with more goodies to come.
Watch for the open sign 😊.

Sunday was my birthday and even though my parents and in laws live 20 hours away they still support our small homestead and the goals we have for our family. My mom had a shirt and cup made with our name on it and my in laws sent me chicken jammies. Aren't they cute? 🥰😍

It's been a busy and hot weekend around here. We have been working on our farmers tan and farm stand since the tornado took out our last one. We will be back up and running soon with even more to offer. Remember if you need eggs msg me or stop on by. The kids will be offering their Boiled Peanuts soon as they now have all their equipment and taken their food safety course.

Our mostly Native wildflowers really took off after the rain this past week. Even with storm damage clean up and removing trees we have enjoyed the blooming happening around us. Below are Yellow Woodsorrel, Lanceleaf Coreopsis, Butterfly Milkw**d, Blue Flax, Indian Blanket Gaillardia, Prairie Coneflower, Mixed Poppies (some non native but naturalized), Common Primrose and Prairie sunflowers.

We are removing some messy elm trees at the moment to make room for extending our farm stand so please bare with the eye sore and mess as we make improvements. Keep an eye out for what's to come. Thank you for supporting our small hobby farm.
