🐾 Success Story Alert! 🐾

We're thrilled to share the story of Louie, an 11-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier, who came to CVS with a 6-day history of vomiting after getting into the trash. His concerned owners brought him to our emergency department, where Dr. Apolo quickly suspected something serious was going on.

After an abdominal ultrasound, it was revealed that Louie had an intestinal intussusception – a condition where one part of the intestine telescopes into another, causing severe complications like sepsis, obstruction, and necrosis. Without timely intervention, this condition can be fatal.

Thanks to the outstanding teamwork at CVS, Louie was transferred to our surgery department, where Dr. McCarthy confirmed the diagnosis and performed a life-saving intestinal resection and anastomosis with special surgical staplers.

We're happy to report that Louie has made a full and excellent recovery, all thanks to the incredible efforts of our team, and the swift referral from Nease Animal Hospital. Thank you for entrusting us with Louie's care. If Louie hadn't received the expert care he did, he may not be with us today.

This is just one example of the amazing collaboration and dedication of our team at CVS. We're so proud to have played a part in Louie's journey to recovery! 🐶❤️
