Rogue Acres

Rogue Acres Providing our family the experience of a small farm lifestyle. We butcher our own animals and offer harvesting for a fee for others.

We enjoy our registered flock of Shetland sheep, a variety of goats, pigs and all of our lovely chickens.

Just enjoying the fruits of our labor. 🤤

Stirfried cabbage, chicken, carrots, purple cauliflower and radish seed pods (since the radishes bolted immediately). 90% of this dish was harvested right out our back door.

There’s been a pack of coyotes terrorizing our neighborhood recently. You can hear them going nuts in this video.

🌿Garden tour🌿

There’s still a lot of work to be done (most of which we are putting off until fall) but look at our plants growing! This is our first year gardening and the pride that comes from watching seeds sprout and grow into actual food is incredible. The lessons in patience and acceptance have been opportunities for personal growth. We’re definitely learning and having fun!

I’m the photos you can see numerous upcycled projects, fun planting experiments (growing potatoes in a box and a tote), native huckleberries, onions, carrots (definitely planting these differently next year), an attempt at an herb bed, tomatoes, peppers, brand new peas, and so much more.

This is seriously so fun! We’ve planted things we’ve never seen or heard of before (*borage*) and it’s actually growing!

Boys, I promise the grass isn’t greener on the other side.

Fred and George are our twin mini-Nubian bucklings born earlier this year to Luna, a registered Nubian. Fred was born with dark chocolate spots that have turned greige.
