This week’s Featured Creature is Frida the Panther Chameleon!

These stunning lizards are capable of moving their eyes independently and have a tongue up to two times longer than their body length! Frida’s hobbies include eating, sunning, and napping!

This week’s Featured Creature is our newest addition to the reptile department, Ripple the Flying Gecko!

Flying Geckos, also known as Gliding Geckos, are an arboreal species native to Southeast Asia. Ripple here is friendly, if a little timid, and will warm up to anyone with crickets in their hand.

It’s Wednesday my dudes. Our featured creature of the week is Fredrick the tomato frog!

Tomato frogs are adorably grumpy and easy to care for, requiring only a small 10gal tank with a shallow water dish, 3-5in of substrate, and don’t require UVB light, as long as you’re dusting their food with the proper vitamin powder.

Something new is crawling into the Reptile Department at Petco! Roly-polies, Pill Bugs, Doodle Bugs even, these little isopods are known and loved around the globe and are an amazing addition to any bioactive setup.

Everyone’s favorite decapods are back, we just received a shipment of Hermit Crabs in today!

Despite their name, these little crabs are very social and do best in odd numbered communities, with lots of digging room. They need at least 70% humidity to breathe comfortably as well as access to fresh and saltwater.

Meet the Mangrove Monitor! Don’t let this little guy’s size fool you, these lizards reach upwards of 3 feet when fully grown! Native to the marshlands of the Western Pacific, this lizard’s diet consists of worms, rodents, and crustaceans, but their favorite food is fish! They do best in hot and humid environments with lots of hiding space, and they’ll need to be handled regularly, after their rehoming adjustment period, to remain tame

Let’s talk Tarantulas! The Curly Hair tarantula(Tliltocatl albopilosus) is one of the friendliest. They’re a New World terrestrial species but will burrow if given the substrate for it. They’re highly adaptable to temperature and humidity levels making them a wonderful first step into the T hobby
