Volunteers will recall Evie. She was in Petsmart with us for several months…from late summer into the fall of last year. She was extremely shy and fled from most of us. Well, she’s been with her new family for a few months now and look…she’s a lap cat now!! We’re delighted for her and her family. It proves that you can’t always judge a cat’s personality in store.

We have a happy cat story. This is Bear. He lived in a feral colony for 9 years. His caretaker fed his family every day. They were a close feral family and had a big cat shelter stuffed with straw that fit all 6 members. One morning, the family ran out to get fed and Bear was flopping around on his back legs. The caretaker got him in a trap and to the vet. Now His legs are mostly ok, he is FIV positive, in kidney failure but now is friendly, has a new feline family and is so happy in his inside home. He’s very happy for rescue
