*****REMINDER FOR EVERYONE****!
Heat stroke is NOT a joking matter, it can kill a pet. We are seeing more in the er.
Pets can't handle long walks or runs in the summer time. With high heat & humidity, they can't cool down. Pets with flat faces(any bulldog breed), heavy coated breeds are even more at risk for heat stroke.
PLEASE learn the signs.

💙 He has been posted for 2 months and hasn’t received one single adoption inquiry… he is a little guy who is overlooked for what reason, we don’t know.

💙 Meet handsome Bullwinkle. He is a 2 y.o Bassett hound / staffy mix. He has a basset body and a staffy head. He has such a giant personality for a stubby little dude. Bullwinkle loves to love and is always a happy go lucky boy. He is also house broken and crate trained. Bullwinkle came to us after being beaten and dumped but his past doesn’t affect his zest for life and affection for people. Bullwinkle is dog friendly and is also great with kids. He would love a yard to eventually run in as he gets some serious zoomies. Bullwinkle is unfortunately heartworm + and under treatment. He will be done in 10 days. It is not a life long condition nor contagious. Mutty paws rescue will cover all expenses at our veterinarian. To adopt, submit an application online at www.muttypawsrescue.org

This boy had to endure some pretty intense dental surgery today (he’s not as alert as he looks in this second photo) and as much as we hated to do it, the adorable lower canines had to go. Oreo lost 12 teeth today and as medicated as he was, still earned a healthy amount of respect from the veterinary staff for his “feisty” attitude, lol (he didn’t hurt anyone, thankfully)
We are so grateful to have this behind us now and are hoping for a quick recovery! He’s still to us! 💕🐾🐶

Anyone looking for a little ready-made family to enjoy the summer days with will fall in love with Bear and Charlie! These two are so friendly, sweet, and adorable. They came in to rescue because their mother had some serious medical issues and just couldn't take care of them, and it's obvious that they've had the benefit of love and socialization in their early days. They're Snorkies which means they're a mix of a miniature Schnauzer and Yorkie. Bear is a boy and almost 2 years old and 24 lbs, and Charlie is a girl and 1/1/2 years old and about 15 pounds. They're best friends, closely bonded, and we're not going to separate them. Bear and Charlie love walks, cuddling, treats and each other! When we first met Oreo last weekend, he was buried in a blanket and lying at the very back of his cage. He was shaking the entire time we interacted with him. Although he had some very kind people caring for him now, he was clearly traumatized. The fear in him was palpable, and was heartbreaking. Fast forward to yesterday, when we officially sprung him and brought him home. He hid behind the couch and anything else he could for quite some time, and then he started peeking out at us within a few hours. We noticed him focusing on a tennis ball. That was our “in”. A few bounces later, out he came to chase a ball around the house. Soon the wiggles started, and we now have quite the character on our hands! We are still getting to know each other and he will see the vet asap to address a few concerns, but we’ve got a good boy on our hands! The point we’d like to make is that the next time you go to the shelter looking for a new best friend, don’t pass by the scared ones! There’s a BFF and they’re just waiting for somebody to make them feel safe!#RescueDog #RescueDogsOfInstagram #SeniorDogs #DustyDogsRescue #adoptdontshop
