Our Story

What started out as a favor for a local rescue has turned into being a rescue of our own. The head of our rescue, Cindy, was approached by another rescue to “cat sit” until the newly adopted cats could go home with their owners. She has always had a heart for animals, having dogs and birds at home. That lead to feeding a homeless colony of cats and kittens out behind our store. There were so many young kittens and mothers, Cindy knew she had to do something to help. She loved the colony and did not want to see them be destroyed if they were caught by Animal Control or picked up by the Humane Society. So, one by one, she trapped the cats and took them to the vet. They were given a medical exam, run tests on, and were all fixed. NO MORE BABIES! She kept as many as she could in her business and started getting the word out that all her babies were adoptable. She has NOT ONE TIME asked for any money toward their medical bills. She does that out of her own pocket and with any donations we do receive. We have since moved to another location, where we still have a few original cats. But, we have more that range in ages and are all ready to go home with good person or family.
