Thank you to everyone that joined us for the Paws and Popcorn adoption event. A special shout out to North Plains 7 for donating the delicious popcorn to share! Another exciting announcement…with our adoptions today, we emptied our kennels at Petsense! We are going to take this time, while the kennels are empty, to do a deep cleaning and reset up at the store. But don’t worry, we still have lots of amazing cats available for adoption! Look for some new cuties by the end of the week. Also, our volunteers are also working hard to update our website. So check it out for all of our available animals looking for a new home. We have lots of new cats and kittens that will be featured as soon as their quarantine period is over and we are so excited to introduce them to you soon! Lots of new and exciting things happening in Pawprints of Portales Rescue! Stay tuned and thank you for your continued support! We couldn’t do it without you.

Baby B is Sponsored!

Unfortunately, Baby B’s adopter has severe allergies and can’t keep her. So now we are looking for her forever spot again. BB is an approx 10 month old mix breed pup. We have had BB since she was about 3 weeks old. Her mother died so she had to be bottle fed until she was big and strong. BB is super outgoing, playful and loves her people. She’s been around all sizes of dogs, cats and children. She’s crate trained and loves toys and snuggles.
If you are interested in adopting BB, please reach out. Her adoption fee is completely covered!!! We just want to find her a new, perfect, permanent home!

💛🖤💛Meet Wolverine💛🖤💛

Wolverine and his sister, Jean Grey, were pulled from the Clovis shelter. Wolverine is approx. 8 months old; he is fixed and UTD on shots. He has beautiful long hair and bright eyes. Wolverine does not do well in kennels, cages or during adoption events. So, it’s hard for us to showcase what a great cat he can be in a home! Wolverine is a little nervous at first, so he needs love and patience in his new home. He is very sweet, curious and wants pets on his own terms. He does great around other cats, and they really help boost his confidence. He has never been around dogs and might do ok around older children that can give him space to get comfortable in his environment. We want Wolverine to have a chance at happiness and love! The funds they raised will go directly to the vetting of our animals in our care. Without community support like this, we couldn’t continue our animal rescue mission.
