Meet Mr. Cooper! As a 5 month old Goldendoodle, little man has ALOT of emotions. This paired with the velociraptor phase in his life- has me questioning some of my career choices! As Cooper is a first time visitor of my home, confining him to a small area like a kennel or behind an x pen was too stressful (trust he told me) which stressed out my own dogs. So behind the gate I go! After he had all his needs met, Cooper had all the tools needed to work through his frustration. Begrudgingly giving in to an afternoon nap 💜💜
Do you love helping dogs? Do you have too much junk around your house (or do you need MORE junk?!) Kill two birds with one stone!
Yard sale at 92 West Commonwealth drive Portland ME August 3rd. All earnings will go to cupcakes medical care! If you have things to donate, reach out and we can pick it up ORRR you can drop it off. If she gets her medical situations handled then we MIGHT know of a crazy couple (a queer couple, a dog trainer and a dog walker….😇) who want to give this older sensitive lady a home!
This is the harrowing tale of Max and the sea monster. Max is an older gentleman, who has a hard time keeping up on long adventure walks. We move slow, give him breaks, keep him safe…. Or so we thought! #scared #seamonster #goldenretriever #maine #lighthouse
Can you tell me who the vocal greeter, or the jumpy excited greeter are in this trio is?! No you cannot because we just don’t do leash greetings! Using “find it” a little off the path keeps the dogs occupied and allows other trail users to safely pass by with no incidents!
Wicked Good Walks clients - your dog already knows this pattern! We practice this almost every time we encounter another dog on the trail.
With some dogs we might venture in the woods off the path even more to create distance between us and the passerby.
Our dogs are none the wiser, and treats fall from the sky!
We enjoy pairing your dogs with THEIR best friends! Imagine a life where you had to meet a plethora of new friends everyday. You have to comb through the crazies, the creepy uncles, the karens, the introverts and extroverts. You would have a mixture of postive and negative experiences, your social battery constantly dwindling. It might even make you jaded to meet new people for a long time! Now imagine a life where you get to hang out with your tried and true best friends. Friends with similar interests and hobbies, friends that know what you’re all about and love you for it! Now apply this imaginary situation to dogs relationships. Constantly introducing your dogs to different dogs will also result in postive and negative experiences. When the amount of negative experiences outweighs the postive experiences, you can end up with a dog who isn’t dog friendly anymore. This is why we try our best to properly pair dogs together to create positive experiences! This is why we advocate for your dog’s space and don’t allow them to greet other dogs on our walks! If none of that made sense, well here’s a video of some happy doggos.
