Lakota is sending you a boop today, hoping to make you smile.

Nothing is free in life and Lakota, like everyone else, charges for her booping service. Payments are accepted in hay, grain or sweet treats, she knows what her service is worth and will not accept low offers.

So if you want to come out to meet us at our camp or on your off day, to take a break from your every day responsibilities, Lakota will be at the fence, ready to make you smile.

🐴 CAMP COUNSELOR SPOTLIGHT: REBEL 🐴

Meet Rebel, one of our most experienced camp babysitters!

His qualifications include: ✅ Standing patiently while tiny humans tell him their life stories ✅ Listening to endless horse facts that may or may not be accurate ✅ Accepting hugs, scratches, and dramatic declarations of friendship ✅ Looking concerned when campers drop their snacks (for completely selfless reasons, of course)

Rebel has mastered the art of supervising children with the same expression your grandpa uses when watching a toddler "help" with a project.

If horses earned college degrees, Rebel would have a PhD in Patience and a Master's in Keeping Kids Smiling.

Join us at the Animal Rescue and make memories at the Hoofbeats and Heartbeats Camp and let your child meet one of the best four-legged babysitters around. Just be warned—there's a good chance they'll come home talking more about Rebel than you. 🤣❤️

🐴 Meet Lyric 🐴

Every small victory is worth celebrating.
Lyric is currently learning that the farrier isn't something to fear. Like many rescue horses, handling her feet has been a challenge, and in the past, sedation was needed to safely complete her hoof care.

Today, we're working patiently with her to build trust and confidence so she can receive routine farrier care without sedation. It's a journey that takes time, consistency, training, and plenty of patience—but Lyric is making progress, one step at a time.

Regular farrier visits are essential to keeping her healthy, comfortable, and sound. As a rescue, these costs add up quickly, especially when additional training and accommodations are needed.
