These two girls have lived a hard life. They meant so little to their old “owner” he never bothered to name them💔
These two were the luckier of the group living in very unfortunate conditions. I had a couple neighsayers tell me I was stupid for rescuing them. That I couldn’t help them etc. - everyone has their own opinion and unfortunately , they aren’t always helpful. The hardest part of rescue are the people who hinder instead of help. Rescue is hard and heartbreaking enough without extra hurt piled on top.
How do people turn away from an innocent animal pleading with you through sad, hungry, tired eyes ? These girls were terrified , unhandled , and emaciated. Their teeth were never properly cared for, nor their hooves. Everything about them hurt and they were starved. Starved for food and attention 💔🐴💔
We are happy to say despite a disability, that is being monitored and managed, these girls have hit the jackpot ! Meet Hope and Faith, our two girls we love and who love all their very specialized groceries!! We are still helping them gain weight.,they have gained 200 lbs each and are continuing to gain ( we hope to put on 200 more lbs!) Their hooves have been trimmed properly , they have received a full medical and dental work up too!! We have placed them on a farm where they bring joy to many people who love them unconditionally. They don’t care that they cannot ride them , they don’t care that they need extra care. These girls are loved. They are living the very best chapter of their life !! We are so glad we rescued Hope and Faith. They deserve to live life ; loved, fed and wonderfully cared for❤️🐴❤️
I wish we could save them all and are so thankful there are so many wonderful rescues that all do their best to make a difference !!
If you’d like to help us with our efforts we would love any help you can give!
