We are getting very low on kitten food!
We just took in 13 more kittens and a few friendly adults!

We need more dry food - purina or Iams kitten.
We need wet food - Fancy Feast or Sheba kitten.
And we could use some treats! Boy do our kittens love treats! 😺

Please notify the police if you have any idea who is doing this horrific thing. They will rot in hell that’s for sure. 🤬

‼️If anyone has any information on the possible shooting of cats off of Lincoln Highway near Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster County, please let us know and reach out to East Lampeter Township Police at 717-291-4676.

You know who’s still waiting to be adopted? This guy.

Blackbeard has been with us for over 3 1/2 years—1,376 days, to be exact—and he would love nothing more than to finally find a loving home of his very own. Now 8 years old, this big, FIV positive tuxedo boy has really blossomed into an amazing cat during his time here at HART. He’s confident, social, affectionate, sassy, and a big ol’ snuggler who will gladly snooze on your lap for as long as you’ll let him. He does have some health issues that are readily managed with diet, medication, and periodic monitoring, and our Medical Team will be happy to review his specific needs with you. He may require a little extra care, but this fabulous kitty is so worth it! ❤️

Meet Kringle and Jingle Belle! Bonded siblings they will be ready for their forever home next weekend.
We are keeping them together!
They are still shy when meeting new people and not big on being picked up but love to play, love to be with people, love each other and are just two gorgeous kittens!!
They will need a little time to adjust to a new home and people but once they feel safe they will provide hours of entertainment and love!!

KITTIES IN NEED:
Wonder is a formerly feral kitten, now a sweetie, who was trapped at the end of October with other members of her litter. However Wonder was different from the rest of the kittens as she was more "clumsy than kittens usually are,and her head slightly wobbled side to side. .
Now at 5 months, and with no progression of any other symptoms and her condition not worsening, Wonder has had a neuro exam at the vet hospital and has been to our vet and she is diagnosed with a condition called CH. CH is cerebellar hypoplasia.
Wonder is a lovely Tortie, and her symptoms are not progressive but she will always have CH. She is spayed, up to date with her vacs and she is precious.
Other than her CH diagnosis, she's in excellent health and looks totally normal except for those head wobbles. We've had CH kitties before and Wonder is diagnosed as having a MILD case of it. To help this little darling live a full life he will need a little guidance and looking over. She'll need to eat from a raised food bowl to make her meal time easier. Since she has head wobbles, she works a bit harder at getting her head targeted to the food. She has a wonderful appetite! So you know she'll find it!
Cats and kittens with MILD CH can function almost as well as any other cat. CH will not shorten her life, and are happy loving animal family members.
A family that is considerate to her is necessary to avoid her from falling down stairs. Baby gates at the bottom of the steps are the trick.
Because they need to help themselves balance you don't trim a CH kitties nails too short. They have poor jumping skills and so climbing is an essential need for them to keep their world active and not one of isolation or solitude. So their nails are important to them so they can grip the carpet better when running and playing.
We know friends who have CH cats and kittens and I hope we will hear from them to encourage others to adopt this darling girl.
We hope to hear from everyone to raise awareness about CH kitties and help beautiful little Wonder find an exceptional home. Thanks!

At our hospital, we have a dedicated fund designed to assist patients during critical times. This small fund is typically replenished through bottle donations, no-show fees, and the generosity of our kind clients. 2024 was a busy year for our Friends of Mason Fund, and it is currently depleted. UPDATE - We have gotten 30 cats and older kittens from this location - thank you to our shelter partners for taking in all but 3 which are in our care
Harvest Hills, Midcoast and ARL - 30 lives saved because of all of us!! 🙂

So we got a call from Someone in Cornish about the numerous cats & kittens living on the property.
They would not have a feeder after Friday
So even tho we are closed to new trapping sites we knew we could not let these cats - most of them dumped there- Starve and freeze to death.
So with the support of Harvest Hills, Midcoast Humane Society & ARL. We started trapping them immediately
Amy went out Monday afternoon & literally picked up 11 cats & kittens. 2 kittens jumped into her car!!
Darcy & I met Amy there this morning & we got 10 more!
Thank You HH - they took 11 - And Midcoast Humane Society - they took 7 this afternoon.
We still have a couple spicy kittens at Amy’s!!
We could not be saving these cats without the support of these shelters and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts!!
We will be continuing to rescue these cats & kittens & if you’re considering donating please donate to these guys! They are all full & still opened their doors to these cats & kittens!! And we are beyond grateful!

VERY IMPORTANT INFO FOR ANYONE RESCUING A FREEZING ANIMAL!!

TEXT: What to do if you find a hypothermic animal:

Wrap in a warm blanket or coat
Do NOT feed.
Do NOT submerse in water.
DO bring inside out of the weather.
DO dry the animal off.
DO stroke to stimulate blood flow.
DO get to a vet immediately.
If you feed a kitten with a temperature below 97, you can kill it; If you warm them up too fast, you can kill it; If the animal is frozen to the ground, do not pull it off! Instead, get LUKEWARM water and pour it around and under the animal.

DO NOT use hot water. Once free, immediately dry the animal off, wrap it in a dry towel and get it to the nearest vet.
